Sorry if this has been addressed previously but does anyone know if PS3 arcade sticks (such as Hori's) are supported?

Amazon has the premium pack at a significant discount (¥ 5,436, not quite 50% off): https://www.amazon.co.jp/%E3%83%90%E3%8 ... 01M0EDP0U/

That is dependent on the stick, not the game. Check online and see if your stick works on ps4 as well. New arcade sticks like the newest hori ones work on ps3/4 and PC with a button to switch between them.

That is not entirely true. Some PS4 games have support for PS3 sticks that wouldn't otherwise work on PS4.

Id like to use my PS3 Madcatz original TE stick with my PS4 to play BG. What brooks adapter do I need or is there something else I can use?

This is what I use on my PS3 sticks on PS4, works great, also use it with my custom Project Diva stick made with a PS3 DS PCB. Just have to keep up with firmware updates whenever Sony updates their Firmware.

https://www.focusattack.com/brook-super ... b-adapter/

You could also opt to replace the PCB and have PS3/PS4 compatibility:
If you are comfortable with soldering: https://www.focusattack.com/brook-ps3-p ... oard-pcba/
PLug and play (may still need a little work): https://www.focusattack.com/ist-pre-ins ... d-pcb-kit/
Same rules for firmware updates apply.

Here's their page for updates, they're usually pretty quick (1-2 days) to update after a Sony update: http://www.brookaccessory.com/download/PS4/

Did anyone post a list of the translated trophies yet? The ones for the bosses downed and finishing with each ship are obvious, but there some others...

I used the search but didn't turn up anything. :(

It's down to ¥4840 now, got it for around $57 shipped. Pretty solid deal, should be in Friday.

Shipping fees to my country are pretty brutal. Any way to get around those?

Mail by boat. I hope you like sailors crumpling your box and it taking 2 months to arrive. Otherwise, no not really, probably.

Is it possible to lift arrange mode off the PS4 version and burn them for PCB use (Guwange Blue)?

I wouldn't think so honestly. Max rank would probably cause constant sprite overload with no spawned items as a result on PCB.

It was possible with Guwange Blue because that port was just ROMs bundled with an emulator. That's not the case here.

I don't know about Rev.2016 but I've heard that some of the arranges they did for Sega 3D Classics were done at a low enough level that they could plausibly run on a PCB.

I have been living under a rock for a while and have a quick question:

I have a saturn and the saturn version of Garegga. I don't have a PS4, is this worth me buying a PS4 for? Are there many other shmups on PS4?

Ok that's two questions.

Thanks ;-)

depends how much you like garegga innit.it is a better version than saturn overall i would say.
dangun feveron is coming too from m2.
then there is (i don't have any of these so can't speak for the quality)
darius burst
caladrius blaze
jamestown

also there is the arcade archives series which seem very accurate as far as slowdown etc which has some shooties like darius, gradius, salamander etc
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arcade_Archives

so it is looking like it could be the next shooter machine to me

I only had good experiences with Arcade Archives. I'm assuming it's just MAME kinda stuff all of it, but it's definitely solid releases, the few ones I tried.
I don't think I would ever get a brand new console just for re-releases of 90s titles... fortunately there's already a few really good modern titles for it, such as Bloodborne, etc. If that stuff isn't your cup of tea, hold out a little while longer.

I kinda miss the days when shmups were actively released in the arcade, and the potential of home releases was what kept the blood of this forum pumping. :(

I still suspect that the Arcade Archives may have been done by M2, though there's no definite proof. I noticed Garegga shares some things in common with the arcade archives like pressing the slide pad button for menus and pressing the triangle button to insert coins.

Arcade Archives are by Nippon Ichi.

The Konami bubble games are the ones with the most problems but the other games are generally fine and they're diligent about patching them should issues arise.

Don't worry, Garegga rev.2016 will be released in arcades soon enough.

I guess you blame Capcom for this practice if you like.

I bought the cardboard box. I don't know how I should feel about this.
The book seems in depth. I can't read any of it, or anything..but still.

Are they gonna do this with all their releases? Like, a cardboard box with a code? Is Dangun gonna get a box?

Also, does anyone know what they have planned, besides these two games? I know they were working with Iuchi, but that could end up vaporware, at this rate.
Armed Police Batrider would be nice.

Yeah, I know it says Nippon Ichi is the developer on the title screen, but there was a twitter post that suggested that M2 may be involved. No definite proof and the post may be wrong, though.

I'm curious about the problems with the bubble games. I heard generally good things about Gradius on this forum and it seems fine to me. From reading previous posts, it sounds like Gradius had input lag early on, but the problem has been fixed.

Don't know if Japanese Amazon works like this, but I'd assume so - when ordering from US Amazon I can pay the import fees on checkout as well, and this means the package always goes cleared thrugh customs here, totally legit and without issues, and usually a lot cheaper than the usual process which involves the local customs holding back my items for up to several weeks, while adding a huge additional fee for the "service" on top of the added taxes themselves.

I wish more webshops were able to offer this service. eBay does it too, but it comes at an increased shipping cost, since it has to go through their repackaging center.

Has M2 given any indication that this will be released in NA (or better yet, ported to PC)? I've been scouring the internet, trying to find a source. I've almost bought this thing several times, but I keep backing down because I don't want to mess with a separate PSN account, and I'd much rather have the game completely in English.

Also, if I import the box set, I have to redeem the game code on a Japanese PSN account, right?
