So I just seen that SEGA owns the rights to Thunder Force
and they just released a collection that has Thunder Force III 3D in it. Has anyone played this yet? Thoughts on SEGA owning the rights to Thunder Force series? Do you think we may finally see Thunder Force VII or a reboot of the series?
Re: So I just seen that SEGA owns the rights to Thunder Forc
There's some discussion about it here.

I have TFIII on 3DS and have played it some. As far as I can tell, it's a perfect port. You can switch between Japan and US versions, record replays, use save states, and enable Kids Mode.

I don't care as much for a new Thunder Force as i do some sort of compilation of their best IPs. If they gave me a way to purchase Hyper Duel for under $60 I'd be a happy camper.

It would be great to have a new Thunder Force. Love the series. TFIV was a masterpiece.

Sega should just hand the license to M2 and tell them to do whatever they feel like.
A TFVII in the (hardware/tech) style of the Fantasy Zone II DX would the best thing ever. FZIIDX was created by M2 in 2008 on genuine vintage System16 hardware.

I'm still holding out hope that Thunder Force AC 2 happens...lol probably not.

I would love to see an entire compilation of Thunder Force on current gen consoles and Steam.

The best one IMO. Sega should do a TFVII patterned after the gameplay of IV- with the ability to scroll vertically in some levels and take multiple paths in at least one stage. Tamayo Kawamoto & Go Sato would be welcome to do the BGM again.BAD wrote:It would be great to have a new Thunder Force. Love the series. TFIV was a masterpiece.
If there's a compilation of all the Thunder Force series, Hyper Duel (Saturn mode would be nice to have as well), Blast Wind (add some higher difficulty levels though), and Inazuma Saber- I am in.
Kinect? KIN NOT.
Re: So I just seen that SEGA owns the rights to Thunder Forc
I agree. I don't need a Thunder force re-release as they're all fairly affordable if I wanted to track them down. The ones I want are the expensive shit that costs a fortune. Hyper Duel and Blast Wind anyone?bikingjahuty wrote:I don't care as much for a new Thunder Force as i do some sort of compilation of their best IPs. Came out in Japan December 26th 2016 in the 3rd SEGA Classics Collection. We only got the second one here in the US.Kollision wrote:wait
