I hope that fix my problems. I need to turn Avast off and also change my monitor from 144hz to 60hz or it will run x4 times faster.

Another update today which, among other things, fixes two of my biggest complaints about the game: first, there's now a "shot and slow" button to help with weaving through some of the tighter patterns, and second, you can now switch at will between the three sub-weapons once you've collected them, so you don't have to worry about accidentally picking up the wimpy laser while zooming around a screen full of medals and being stuck with it.

Geez, I'll have to give it another play. Those sound like game-changers!

Picked this up and gave it a try.
It's kind of a rushed clusterfuck but a somewhat charming one. Presentation is good (good music, menus are stylish, overall graphics look nice, character designs actually not that bad, etc.), and the weapony is very fun. Everything has a nice sense of impact and switching between the three sub weapons and the powered up murder laser and black hole battering ram is great fun.
Stage and boss design though ehhhhhh. Zakos have some nice variety but stages and bosses overall all feel kinda the same, like a big barf of random patterns that weren't playtested too much. The bullet wobble makes dodging feel horrible too. Difficulty is almost non-existent, yeah.
Still though, I'm happy to have it in my library, what with the crazy fire power. The guns feel good, and I could see myself getting a kick out of the scoring. Enemies are pretty varied, and the guns feel good.
In short, I like the guns.

Hm.
I've been playing this game for nearly four hours, and I still can't figure out how the top-scorers are getting 1.5 billion points. The best I can muster is about half that.

Yet another significant update - new stuff added, existing stuff tweaked, price dropped.

Still no achievements. Not a big thing for me, but it's odd for a new game not to have them. I tried out the new version a bit. Feels even more like a caravan game now with more bonuses added.

LOL. With each update, it's like playing a new game. It feels pretty solid, although I won't be shocked to see a 12th update.CStarFlare wrote:So is this game finished yet or

Well, there is now. the game is updated to version 4.10, and it adds 108 achievements, lol. Took a while, but its now there. Dunno if achievements will immediately unlock if you've played/progressed through the game before version 4.10, but since Trouble Witches Origin didn't and required you to play though it all again, I suppose its the same for Varstray.BrianC wrote:Still no achievements.
