Yes, it's much less dense but faster so if an orb is heading for you you'll need to let go of focus mode and run full speed to avoid. Personally i think it's easier than original. The stage 4/5 boss milks are much harder however but completely ignorable if you're just playing for a clear.

Mushihimesama Arrange 1cc.

Was trying this occasionally, but would keep dying too many times early on leaving me with not enough for the last bosses. That or I'd do well, then either screw up on the last bosses or get some bad luck on some of the TLB stuff that can just give bad luck.

On this run, I didn't die until the second half of stage 5, then died once on Stage 5 boss, then finished TLB with 1 spare life.

Mushihimesama original 1cc

It took me a while but i finally got it with s type down to last life no bombs. I bomb spammed the end of TLB. I often struggled with my nerves trying to recover after a bad death causing me to die rapidly die multiple times in a row.

I am not sure what mode is the next easiest out of Maniac, 1.5 maniac, 1.5 original max, or arrange. Any thoughts?

Or I may switch gears and try to 1cc Crimson clover boost or Eschatos Normal to avoid burnout on mushi.

Thanks. My next scoring goal is 20 tril, which shouldn't be too hard to achieve if I don't get hit at all until the TLB fight. Even then, the score may go in the hundreds of trillions, considering how much the points start flowing in on stage 5 with accumulated graze and TM multiplier.

Got a quick, rough 1-ALL of Mahou Daisakusen which also incidentally happened to be my 350th 1CC. That's probably the last round number in terms of 1CCs for me, at least for a very long time, I doubt I can muster another 50 games I'm interested in - outside of Einhänder it's definitely going to be (almost) exclusively arcade games, and I got through most of the classic games I always wanted to clear now. 'Twas (and is) a highly interesting journey, indeed!

Perikles: God mode achieved!

I honestly wonder if that is some sort of world record. I know Kollision has a ton of clears too but I think you have more at this point? I'm not aware of anyone else who is even remotely close, although maybe there are Japanese players we don't know about.

Thanks a lot, that is truly flattering, coming from you!

However, Kollision has recently had the rapturous opportunity to celebrate his 400th 1CC. I can't stress enough just how much enjoyment and information I got - and still get! - out of his astounding blog entries. I actually started reading his articles before getting back into the genre myself at around 2011, it always was an inspiration for me, not only in light of the sheer accomplishments (and unlike me, our dear maestro plays virtually everything that was released on the most diverse consoles, including modern games and exotics like rail shooters), but most importantly for his unwavering enthusiasm. I'm sure I can also speak for him when I say that we're aware many of those clears might be trivial, quite a few games were rather unrewarding and that quality surely comes before quantity in the grand scheme of "skills", "dedication", "going full shmup" and whatnot. Nonetheless, I like to think that even inaccessible, flawed or outright terrible games can sometimes provide interesting insights. Seldom did I truly regret playing a game, and that is what matters to me.

1cc'd death smiles 2x arrange mode tonight. Only on level 1 but it was my first 1cc so felt pretty good. Now on to something a little more difficult.

Many thanks for the kind words, my friends.
Most of those 1CCs, however, are for piss-easy games, nothing like the massive achievements Perikles has been racking up in the last few months.
I will forever be an eternal padawan. :P

Congrats!
Omega Five is in my opinion one of the most impressive and fun games of the digital era.

It needs a sequel, and one with more than just 4 levels. :)

Finally cleared Futari Original with a shit score of 247mil. Highest score was ~270mil but i didn't even reached Larsa iirc :?
I'd love to break 300mil in the future, but i need to be way more consistent with stage 5

Futari Original was my first (and right now my only non novice) Cave clear. I've come close on a few others (Espgaluda 2 BL, Akai Katana Zetsu, and Progear), but always fall just short and then I go play something else. I'll most likely go back to Progear at some point.

I always go back to Futari periodically and if I gave it some thought it would probably wind up in my top five. Love the last two stages.
You're sure to be in a fine haze about now, but don't think too hard about all of this. Just go out and kill a few beasts. It's for your own good. You know, it's just what hunters do! You'll get used to it.

My journey with this game is over, at least for now. #1 on this forum ^_^

(Vid)

I'm very happy that after over a year of playing this game I've finally hit 40+ mil.

Admittedly this run has a bunch of stupid mistakes, but I guess that's all the more reason to score push this game in the future. Now I'm going to move on to my next game: Dodonpachi. I'm probably going to go back to this game in the future and push for 45+ mil when I feel like it.

While I found at least 1 death in high-rank stage 5 almost unavoidable, I still find stage 4 more harrowing.

Probably because trying to get through it without making terrible mistakes was the run decider for me.

I got my first cave 1cc ever tonight on futari bl original on the 360. I know it's probably the easiest cave game and my score is terrible but man it still feels really really good. Hands were sweating hard.
