Söldner-X 2 PS Vita Physical Release in January 2017
Re: Söldner-X 2 PS Vita Physical Release in January 2017
Lossless audio is audio encoded in a format that doesn't degrade quality. Formats like MP3 and OGG use compression that reduces sound quality to achieve smaller filesizes; these are called "lossy." Lossless codecs don't lose any quality through their compression, at the cost of higher filesizes compared to lossy codecs. It's the same sort of thing as JPEG (lossy) vs. PNG (lossless) images. FLAC is a lossless audio codec, commonly used when people rip tracks from CDs. There was nothing wrong with KoolKool993's English except for misspelling "lossless" as "loseless."

Which is what was confusing me. Admittedly, I'm not up on the terminology you're helping to define here (thank you, by the way), but when I looked up "loseless format", I got nothing, so I was assuming it was a spelling/language barrier. That minor spelling difference makes a difference between being able to look the thing up, and having no answers at all.Shepardus wrote:There was nothing wrong with KoolKool993's English except for misspelling "lossless" as "loseless."

Just placed my order, because, for under $30 to my doorstep, it's worth the risk. If it's terrible, it's not like I flushed a C-note down the toilet or anything.
And it's a heckuva lot cheaper than any pinball purchase I've ever made.

Got this here in the US yesterday. Played an initial game for a quickie impression, and it seemed all right. It's a bit confusing to a degree, but since I've never played any version of it before, it's new to me. Seems like a decent way to have spent $30.
