I'm sure that some of you know/lived interesting stories involving shooters. The idea behind the thread is for a place to write about local legends you may know, a special thing that happened to you and so on. If theres a thread about it already, my bad, I found nothing.
I remember reading "VIDA DE IGOR DOUGLAS". it was a couple of txt. telling the presumably true but absurd story of a teenager's life and his relationship with shmups (mostly Gradius). I was impressed by the time I read, also, I found out that a game site was making fun of him. Someone made a interview with the guy later. It was one of the little stories that got popular in the early internet.

This sounds so bad out of contextwgogh wrote:I'm sure that some of you know/lived interesting stories involving shooters. Gus recently wrote a fanfiction starring himself and Futari Ultra, I don't care to search through his Twitter but you can find a link to it there.

And it was actually written a couple of years ago, only published recently.

Re: Shmup Stories
I just read the whole thing!!!
Just the kind of exageration I hoped to find. The kind that I found in Igor Douglas texts before. Talks about trying to give meaning to things, and I can relate to that, even without know how much serious he was when he wrote that. I liked the grasshopper part.
It was a lot more than I could expect from this thread, which I'm glad I had created (I had doubts). I missed the arcade times, I was too young or wasn't born, I dont really know. Just happened to play some machines that used to be in birthday houses, along with pinball machines. That is, I dont know many stories behind the games.
