So, the 4th series of DLC will be from 8ing titles, including Battle Garegga. What were the other two titles?

Soukyougurentai, and Sorcer Striker (can't remember JP name of this series. Mahou somethin or another)

And there will apparently be a physical PS4 disc.

CAVE DLC will be Deathsmiles, DFK, and Ketsui


so... was G.REV just here for DBCS DLC purposes or did I miss something?

A quick request to Nick, before I'm off to bed (it's 5 am here in Europe... :mrgreen:): whatever those extras turn out to be for the announced physical PS4 special edition (a soundtrack was mentioned, but more will apparently be included), please try to make them available for PC users (either are physical items, digitally as DLC, ...).

Oh, and I forgot, since this can't be stressed enough: you really have to try and release some of these older titles that are featured on Dariusburst CS DLCs on PC.
PS4 already has the older Darius titles, and soon will have Battle Garegga as well. How cool would it be to have access to these titles on PC as well.

After all the comments about those awesome looking shirts, I think I'm going to dream about it tonight. :mrgreen:

I find dariusburst to be a bit flat and dull, not really interested in paying for skins for it.
Was their any interesting info aside from that? Mahou Otome is touch screen phone guff, isn't it? There won't be pc release?

I hope it wouldn't be a separate release, just a full localization of the game that's already out. That way nobody would lose their progress.

Literally all you have to do is make an exception for the TLB not NOT ADD the kill value to the chain value because the star value is determined by the chain value

should take absolutely no time to fix and would make the game less retarded and maybe even worth playing

EDIT:For those who don't know, milking the TLB with hypers gives so much score that the rest of the game is pretty much irrelevant.

obviously sdoj stage 5 can still be worth something, but not roughly x100 the score of the entire game!

oh, but arcade versions are holy and silly console-only modes are worthless, i totally forgot

because, you know, arcade versions have all this competition that you never interact with and that you will never approach in your entire life

Seriously, fixing this would undermine the entire argument behind retaining Mushihimesama's powershot and bringing Deathsmiles's slowdown back. I'm ashamed and appalled that it's even being suggested so lightly.

If a fix is done for it, it would need to be off by default. Forcing it on meant no one that was actually scoring used Score Attack on SDOJ.

So,

if a fix for the Doom thing is added, needs to be off by default.

IF SDOJ is ported to Steam, it needs to be changed to off by default.

If Pink Sweets ever gets ported to Steam, Infinite Life trick needs to be added back in as an option, preferably on by default for 1.00 and off for 1.01 always.

They didn't remove the powershot on purpose, they just disabled a button while autofire was held down without even knowing what the hell they were doing, it wasn't even their intention to disable the powershot
You could still probably set it to the proper rates with an external program and have the exact same result

no one fucking plays the 360 version seriously, the WR from sinmoon back in 2015 is hilariously half assed, the score up to the ex stage is comparable to what jaimers got in a few days and considerably worse than his previous run, dies at the beginning of st5 and then proceeds to die to doom twice with a near full hyper stock and still gets nearly 5,3tril out of it

because sdoj was actually played and it was an established version that people wanted to play

there's a difference between changing mechanics in a game that's somewhat broken but still being played (sdoj), changing mechanics in a game 12 years later for no reason (mushi), changing mechanics that aren't broken (deathsmiles) and changing mechanics in a console only arrange that's so fucked that no one plays it seriously and could really use a reboot (ketsuipachi)

though tbh it doesn't really matter either way, a console arrange on a pc port is gonna have very few if any serious players and zero competition either way

About Deathsmiles PC:

Is there a way to start a game with the 2nd controller? I have an X360 pad as the first and an arcade stick as the 2nd connected, the game only starts if I use the pad, and I can only play with the stick if I enter an already started 1 player game...

If SDOJ goes to Steam, I'd like to see the Japanese voiceovers in the Xbox 360 arrange mode stay in if possible. For one thing, the part where Saya sings for about 10 seconds during the Kouryu battle is gold. LOL.

Should there be a fix for Ketsuipachi's TLB hyper milk, I'd also hope for it to be optional. To choose between scoring parity with the 360 version or having your score not shoot up like a Roman candle on the TLB? Though it would require adding another leaderboard, I think this is best.

I agree that patching the mode would be neat, but realistically I don't expect CAVE to do anything beyond a straight port, especially not a change that requires some understanding of the game system and affects at most a handful of people, none of whom are the sort of people I presume CAVE is trying to target with these Steam ports.

as far as I know the chips only affect the hit counter, not the chain value - all the hit counter does is apply the multiplier at certain breakpoints, which is 6x at 8k hits and 7x at 100k hits - the former is way too easy to get and the second is only really obtainable in stage 5. Outside of that the chips might as well not exist, which makes no sense for a ketsui arrange

looks like a DFKBL with less depth to me, all the bullet cancelling is still there but it no longer gives score outside of specific things like letting a hyper run out of time
just play through it a few times to listen to the music, maybe beat hivac, then go play something else
