Selling a monitor for lacking a wanted feature counts as a "hot button issue"?
That
totally warrants the entire forum jumping at you all at once.

er no, that's not what the issue is - if he's a troll he's just a parody account making fun of RGB hipsters like people at Digital Press used to parody one of the early RGB true believers there. It's none of my business if he has some kind of retro nostalgia for the 80s and 90s, but I think I'm open to anything.
and also - er no that's not really the point. Personally I don't care about it, it's just a
thing and sometimes kids make expensive mistakes, but you have to learn not to hold onto regrets.
Also let's be sure to blame people for their low self esteem right after we bring them down for every little thing they do.
That's totally unreasonable. MM and myself both gave particularly good advice and he doesn't show any evidence of caring. I even took a moment to try and fend off some of the armchair diagnoses of him by other posters, but I also see where everybody is coming from. It's a Forum for games, not a mental help forum.
Have you ever met or known somebody who had some problem in their past they couldn't let go? Better yet, was it something you just couldn't understand the importance of picking at daily, for years, and putting yourself in the position of having to hear all that unpleasant stuff repeatedly? atheistgod1999 posts remind me of people like that. I think we all want the best for people, but it's been pointed out that this is just not the right forum for that, and many people here have no tolerance for it at all.
But I'm just pretty sad that you'd attack me for that, of all things, but I guess you don't know much about ag's posting history here.
I'm still not sure I was wrong to call this out as a potential troll, but I wish I had realized this was more likely just another kind of vampiric attention seeking like I've seen before. And it's harsh to say that, but if what ag tells us about his mental health history is true, then he should just work on redirecting his energy and trying to figure out ways to put things in perspective - losing a BVM isn't a big deal - and learning to make good choices and not have tons of regrets. It's not much that I think we can help out with here, especially considering all the wildly different responses he gets.
/I'm not trying to just fight here, I think we all need to maybe considerr looking at ag posts differently, and not encourage bad behavior and self-pitying that might only reinforce low esteem, it's that simple.
