This isn't trivial bullshit that annoys us? >_>

Also Satori! Little Annoyed Hell has always been OT's dumpster/incinerator. Working as intended imo. ¦3

A formidable rival to the Gaiares Mullet Kid! Codename Viper/Ningen Heiki Dead Fox is a fucking rad game too. The sort of life-affirmingly sharp arcade action ag99 should be trying out in emulators while he does good at school and gets cracking on his future, instead of worrying up the joint here all the time!

Capcom mullet kid looks like he really wants to be Zack Morris.
You're sure to be in a fine haze about now, but don't think too hard about all of this. Just go out and kill a few beasts. It's for your own good. You know, it's just what hunters do! You'll get used to it.

Here's a little thing:

People who call any long hair on a man a mullet, even when the front isn't cut into bangs like a proper mullet.
Two working class dudes, one black one white, just baked a tray of ten cookies together.

An oligarch walks in and grabs nine cookies for himself.

Then he says to the white dude "Watch out for that black dude, he wants a piece of your cookie!"

Does anyone feel like sometimes the music you're listening to is being played at a lower BPM than normal?
I don't know if my music player is just acting up for some reason, or if I'm misremembering how fast the song went.

Could be all in your mind? When you get used to certain fast track of music, it starts to sound slower.
The same goes for songs with long duration that starts to sound not so long.

Human perception of time in general can be a little screwy at times anyway -- particularly, I notice that late at night, clock faces move (subjectively) much faster and music appears to play at a faster tempo. Perhaps this could have been the reverse of that kind of effect?

Dirty nails. Why are there people whose nails look like they belong to a 5-year-old eating and playing in the dirt at the same time?

I found this to be very interesting, as I noticed that every time I play a song for the first time, it seems to have at least 2x the duration.

Selling a monitor for lacking a wanted feature counts as a "hot button issue"?

That totally warrants the entire forum jumping at you all at once.
er no, that's not what the issue is - if he's a troll he's just a parody account making fun of RGB hipsters like people at Digital Press used to parody one of the early RGB true believers there. It's none of my business if he has some kind of retro nostalgia for the 80s and 90s, but I think I'm open to anything.

and also - er no that's not really the point. Personally I don't care about it, it's just a thing and sometimes kids make expensive mistakes, but you have to learn not to hold onto regrets.
Also let's be sure to blame people for their low self esteem right after we bring them down for every little thing they do.
That's totally unreasonable. MM and myself both gave particularly good advice and he doesn't show any evidence of caring. I even took a moment to try and fend off some of the armchair diagnoses of him by other posters, but I also see where everybody is coming from. It's a Forum for games, not a mental help forum.

Have you ever met or known somebody who had some problem in their past they couldn't let go? Better yet, was it something you just couldn't understand the importance of picking at daily, for years, and putting yourself in the position of having to hear all that unpleasant stuff repeatedly? atheistgod1999 posts remind me of people like that. I think we all want the best for people, but it's been pointed out that this is just not the right forum for that, and many people here have no tolerance for it at all.

But I'm just pretty sad that you'd attack me for that, of all things, but I guess you don't know much about ag's posting history here.

I'm still not sure I was wrong to call this out as a potential troll, but I wish I had realized this was more likely just another kind of vampiric attention seeking like I've seen before. And it's harsh to say that, but if what ag tells us about his mental health history is true, then he should just work on redirecting his energy and trying to figure out ways to put things in perspective - losing a BVM isn't a big deal - and learning to make good choices and not have tons of regrets. It's not much that I think we can help out with here, especially considering all the wildly different responses he gets.

/I'm not trying to just fight here, I think we all need to maybe considerr looking at ag posts differently, and not encourage bad behavior and self-pitying that might only reinforce low esteem, it's that simple.

getting distracted easily

Spent half an hour tweaking placeholder graphics and shit that doesn't fucking matter in a game I'm working on [literally everything is going to be redrawn] instead of actually working out the mechanics and shit.

It's really satisfying to have your awful placeholder programmer art graphics glowing and covered in particles, though. 8)
This sort of shit keeps happening to me. Any kind of project, I'll spend ages fucking around with shit that doesn't matter instead of actually working on the damn thing. When I get around to actually working on things that matter, progress on that tends to be slow and inconsistent.
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

Same, same. Only other exception is when I'm programming and facing a problem, at which point I become obsessive to the point where I can't pry my brain away from it, even when it's time to sleep.

Only the cuddliest of anime grills can even begin to divert my attention at such a time, and only briefly.

Those moments in fictional shows where a character predicts another's actions or speech like it's supposed to be clever or funny.

Maybe when one character pre-empts another's catchphrase or something.

Only example I can think of now is House MD's habit of walking out of a conversation mid-sentence after an epiphany.
I swear more than once another character's said something like "You're gonna walk out of the room aren't you."

hurr so funnee, especially after 5 seasons of that trope. -_-

I haven't watched House, but this sounds to me like a similar trope the definitely does annoy me - when a movie or, more likely, a TV-show (since it's tied to the concept of a recurring character), tries to bruteforce the intended characteristics of a major character unto the viewers, rather than effectively invoking it.
A really good example would be the modern Doctor [Who], whom the show immediately assumes that everyone will find both funny, dazzling, quirky and eccentric, while if you were to meet him in reality you'd just be annoyed by his egocentric nature and stumbling attempts at being funny. And by extension - no, the Tardis being bigger on the inside is NOT amazing when you've been spoon fed this concept since 1963. Yeah, it makes sense that someone who's never seen the thing before would be dumbfounded by it, but the show fails to realise that it's not as fascinating to the viewers every damn time.

It's kind of a "Mary Sue" thing without the implied fanfiction self-insert part. Your character is just "better" because the writer says so, not because there's any indication of it. But it's not limited to positive traits, and I think the Benedict Cumberbatch Sherlock series (coincidentially produced by the same people...) does exactly the same thing with Holmes' supposedly antisocial and socially clumsy nature, trying to angle it in a way that seems to assume it to be "endearing". Every part of it is horribly forced, despite Cumberbatch's pretty solid performance.

The fact Space Oddity was considered as the ending credits song for Metal Gear Solid 3, but Kojima decided to use Way to Fall by Starsailor instead. Rights of the later were probably cheaper.

It bothers me when YouTube reviewers are obviously reciting Wikipedia articles of their subject because they clearly have no idea what or anything insightful to say about what they're talking about.

Talking about spiders; it happened, just now I've killed a brown recluse in my house. Or maybe it was its redder variant cousin that's barely any less venomous.

Anyway: fuck fuck fuck. :|

Game reviews of any kind that spend a half hour explaining the concept of "gameplay" and that it's the most important part of a game before getting on with the damn review.

They're still rare, fortunately, never heard about an invasion at least not in my country. Maybe the climate here isn't ideal for that species yet, plus there's a lot of predators around.
A few people get bitten every summer though, like I've told some pages back I think came close to it when I've found one dead in my bed sheets after washing'em.

Next month we do the next round of renewing the house, it'll be a big, dusty noisy work, so if there are any other somewhere that shoud drive them away.
I still haven't stepped into the attic personally though...
