I recently ordered a Sony BVM-D32E1WU and I was excited to get it hooked up and play my retro consoles. Before setting it up properly I first wanted to test it out.
I brought my Sega Genesis (Model 1 "High Definition Graphics") and connected it to the monitor via SCART to BNC. All my cables have "Passive Sync" (Which I believe is also CSync) and I purchased them from RetroGamingCables.
So I hook up the BNC into the analog inputs of the monitor, including the sync input. And for the outputs I connected 75Ohm resistors to them (I've heard this must be done to tone down RGB levels).
So I then switch on my console and the image is all messed up, it does nothing but flash random colors and occasionally show and image that keeps acting up and has a purple tint.
I've tried to do everything but I have no idea what to do. I hope it's not an issue with the monitor.
Here's the only photo I have for now, will post more. Thanks:
