They weren't. I had already lost all of my baby teeth by the time I got them removed (all on different occasions, BTW)ryu wrote:Are you sure those weren't your first teeth or wisdom teeth?
Still, though: Fillings suck!

Did you never brush your teeth regularly? Should start asap if you haven't already.

Bahaha, wait until you get a sprained tooth, shit will drive you nuts for months 'cuz you'll think it's an abcess starting but the dentist won't find anything wrong.
Or: Just be good to your teeth and gums, don't grind them or try to chew on your nails / hard shit, brush & floss & rinse, get your sun and vitamins, and you might as well keep around some of that hydrogen peroxide rinse to speed along healing of any small mouth injuries. Talk to your dentist for advice, naturally.
Because you seem to be playing head games with yourself, do yourself a favor and realize remorse doesn't get you anywhere. What's done can't be changed. Just concentrate on having a good routine and learning from any mistakes, that's all anybody can do. Look forward to the day when you can get a perfect filling replacement with super future science
Also, something like 40% of people in the US have lost a tooth. It seems like it's a dumb thing but lots of people have it happen, for tons of reasons.
Speaking of annoying things, that the entire news media got hooked on that "don't floss your teeth anymore!" non-story last week. Arrrgh. No, you DO still need to floss. Just be gentle.

Re: Little things that annoy the hell out of you
The cavity was discovered by the dentist about a month after I got my braces, that I had for nearly two years, off, so it was kinda hard to prevent the cavity because brushing my teeth was almost impossible.

Re: Little things that annoy the hell out of you
I was thinking about the older video game price bubble and came up with an idea to burst it:
If someone got a bunch of mint-condition (like, no cosmetic wear or anything) copies of some expensive and popular older video games (like, say, NES Contra that goes for ~40USD) and started selling them on eBay for like $10, other people would have to match the price, right? And that might start a chain reaction because then sellers after that would then have to match the prices of the sellers who had to match the price of the original person. If they did that for multiple titles, it might start lowering prices for other games if people notice that those games are cheaper and start buying them instead, forcing sellers of other games to lower their prices so people will buy them.
I wonder if it would work; could it really be that simple?
P.S.: The game listings would have to have good quantities available for each title; that way the listings wouldn't be up for only a little bit.

Are you nuts? He'd sell the lot in an hour, barely anyone would see the listings, and everyone else would continue hiking as usual.

Who is going to sell their items for 1/4th the going rate though?atheistgod1999 wrote:I was thinking about the older video game price bubble and came up with an idea to burst it:

I bet if I owned 20 copies of NES Contra I would be able to make the average price jump up by $15 or more by simply making separate listings for each cartridge and mark them at ridiculously high prices.
There are TONS of ebay listings for overpriced games that have been the same item listed over and over for a year or more. They don't sell because the price is too high....but the fact that they show up on a search seems to slowly make the average asking price rise. I'm also willing to bet that there are several scumbag sellers using friend/family accounts to buy their own items so that they show up under "sold listings" in order to try and validate their prices.
I still enjoy collecting, I just don't buy as many games as I used to. The days of finding a box full of games for $10 at a yard sale are long gone, but it could be worse. Video game collecting is still cheaper than a lot of other hobbies out there.
Amen! Not going to happen though. These days I can't even go to a garage sale or flea market without a seller checking his phone for ebay pricing before being able to tell me the price of something.Xyga wrote:Taking down eBay would help more, for some time.

Funny to think that this is one of the most active threads on the forum, and it has much more posts than "... and it made me smile", wich is kind like the contrary.

Dumbass people who message you to ask the price of an item you posted on Craigslist or Facebook, despite the price being in the title. Sometimes I'm tempted to write back in the nastiest, most offensive way possible.
Don't hold grudges. GET EVEN.

Re: Little things that annoy the hell out of you
I am not surprised retro games are hiking in price. Simply put the amount of retro collectors is always climbing and for the most part that means product is declining in availability.
For the record I have bought at least 10 items compared to only 1 that I have sold. If you do the math its simple supply and demand. eBay is likely making the problem worse than it would have been.
In recent weeks I have purchased -
Cold Shadow SNES - 80 grade VGA sealed ($90)
Kirby Superstars SNES as new ($100)
I waited 6 months for the best deal on both. Considering the condition of both I would imagine I could fetch a higher price in 5 years time.
Whats interesting is that there is so much product out there sitting around but nobody is selling it. There are still millions of IT illiterates that don't know the worth of what they have. So always a chance to bag a good deal.

This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

For five years I had an effective and super cheap cell phone. Then I got a letter from the service provider saying that 2G is being discontinued. This is bad news, since 3G doesn't work worth shit here and 4G is nonexistant. Am not looking forward to blowing $40 every month for a stupid landline again.

I've still got my v3m. I even was able to access the apps download menu (and got dinged $1.99 for it, apparently)!

Chrome browser no longer accept backspace as 'Back' because some schmucks accidentally "lost data" by backing out of forms and complained about it. Instead, you now have to use alt + arrows.

Re: Little things that annoy the hell out of you
Yeah I noticed that too. Didn't know that was the reason for it though. Apparently there are extensions to add back that functionality but I haven't tried any myself. Would much prefer if they kept a setting for that rather than force us to resort to extensions for basic keyboard shortcuts. Chrome has disappointed me multiple times with how little customization it allows, and I wonder what other features I like may be headed for the chopping block because it didn't fit the most common usage patterns.
