Shmup with BIG SHIP!

like a formular,well we have seen always just small fighter ship,but can beat everything and save the world!

it may sound a little bit awkward,but i'm looking for shmup where you can play as big ship, or capital ship size....you can be tanker,bring mass destruction and fear anything on the road.....well......something like that!

Bio-ship Paladin, AKA Space Battleship Gomora comes to mind. Game is far from great but the ship is way bigger than average.

Slap Fight MD, specifically the original MD mode. Both the arcade and MD modes let you build a ridiculous wingspan via the "Wing" powerup, but only the latter lets you detonate chunks of it in devastating explosions until only the tiny default ship remains. Fun and practical! Not objectively the biggest ship ever, but with Toaplan's characteristically relentless sniping it does bring the feel of steering a massive warbird. ;3

There is also Senko no Ronde, which people sort of consider a shmup. When you power up, your small ship turns into a big stereotypical SHMUP boss ship for a little while.

The player sprite in that is ripped from Hacha Mecha Fighter, which also has a fairly large character (and the bomb makes him 2x size, sorta like Ryujin).
