Hello. I wanted to connect my PC to an HDTV and my arcade stick to it but also to sit about 5m away. Will USB cable produce input lag?

I think you're off by a few orders of magnitude - it should be around 0.03 microseconds instead of 20 microseconds ;)

(assuming a velocity factor of around 0.5 - no idea what the actual value for USB cables would be)

You're right. I shouldn't have taken the first google result for signal speed in a copper cable, which was given as 225,000 m/s. It's probably closer to 225,000,000 m/s.
