I was watching a video this weekend and I was told to subscribe in the beginning of the video!! I don't remember what it was, but I shut it off LOL

although I don't really have a problem with that "please subscribe" spiel myself, to answer your question with another question, blinge, do you even need to suggest subscription? if people like your videos and want to see more they will more than likely subscribe anyway, and if not I doubt saying please subscribe will win many people over.

Hm. well speaking for myself I've sometimes watched content from small channels before that I enjoyed, that wasn't part of a series or I wasn't necessarily looking forward to their next upload. I've subbed after seeing such a message before to show some support, where I might've just exited the video otherwise. Though this may be because as a small youtuber myself I know how much that means.

You're probably right, but there may be a tiny fringe who "remember" to subscribe.

..Actually come to think of it, big channels for morons like the game theorists etc always have intrusive messages at the end. Literally telling people what to do must work to an extent.

It doesn't really bother me when it's at the end. At least I can shut it off without missing anything in the video if the youtuber is being annoying about it. I think the main thing about asking people to subscribe is give them a reason. If you are telling me to subscribe because what I just watched is part of a video series......then I'm probably happy to hear it.

My country is so fucking stupid that most liberals wanted some bitch who doesn't have liberal views and actually said she opposed stuff like weed getting legalized and gay marriage a couple decades ago and only is saying she wants liberal things now to pander to people because it's the zeitgeist to be president over someone who believed those things should be legal since he was a kid in the 40's or something.

The teachers at my school (unsurprisingly) also believe she should be president; along with just hearing conversation between staff that she should be elected, sometime in the last few (normal) days, I went into a bathroom to take a piss and some teacher was loudly talking with a student, and literally said "I can't believe people are hating on Hillary just because she's a woman!" and said that even if she wouldn't be a good president she should still be elected just because it would be "symbolic" for a woman to be president. I can't make this shit up.

It's stupid, because my parents made me go with them to some Bernie rally downtown last fall (actually saw him IRL) and I remember him saying that single mothers are the "true heroes".

I'm guessing she got picked over Bernie just because she's a woman. SJW bullshit had already gone too far, but now it's gone out of the Milky Way.

Oh yeah, and she also indulges in NSA bullshit. And she's not getting charged. What. The. Fuck!?!?!?

I've always refrained from requesting people subscribe to my channel (even back when I wanted subscribers and views, now I don't even give a fuck). I'd prefer to just let people decide for themselves, rather than beg them to help me raise some arbitrary number.

Speaking of Youtube, I hate how there's no way to prevent specific videos from showing up anywhere, or at least hide the thumbnail or some sort. Lately it's been recommending me this specific video with an ungodly disgusting body horror themed thumbnail that makes my brain throw up. At least if it's a bunch of them, and they're sort of related to the video then you aren't completely to blame. But I'm sitting here wondering what the fuck I watched for Youtube to recommend "Top 10 things found growing inside people!" to me.

If it were up to me, all real body horror videos would be either banned, or shoved onto an alternate website that you can avoid. I shouldn't have to live in fear of what I'm gonna see on the sidebar of completely unrelated gameplay footage.

If you're using a browser with Adblock Plus, you can right-click on the offending thumbnail (or any image) and block it from appearing again. There are probably other extensions with this function as well.

Google recently added the ability to go into your account and delete ALL history of your browsing habits. I just wiped mine yesterday and now I'm no longer getting "This video will get Trump elected" sidebars because two years ago I watched a couple pro-gamergate clips.
