Resident Evil 7.... Man. Who knew? Well, at least Capcom don't appear to be going after the action market. Hope there's some combat in this. ZombiU worked (on the PS4) so it could be good.

Thing is, are Capcom capable if making a good RE game anymore? Does level design mean anything to them? I've downloaded the demo, haven't played it yet.

The Star Wars VR mission looked ok, but it's DICE and they've royally fucked Battlefront, so even though it looked good I doubt there will be much to it.

Death Stranding? Fuck that shit.

I would not be surprised if the game is nothing like that trailer.

After 40 minutes of Pokemon torture:

Zelda's DogmaCry: Wild Phantom Breath of the Skyrim Hunt. Though it looks like Dragon's Dogma for kids minus pawns if you ask me.

It's everyone's guess as to what open world game this Zelda resembles the most, but it doesn't look completely god-awful. Combat looks floaty, which is kind of to be expected from a more casual title like Zelda, but at least it isn't Skyward Sword. Witch Time prompts look kind of unnecessary. I hope they put on a limit on healing items you can use during combat too. Now with FarCry-scope smartphones and voice acting, just gib me the original dubs already. You can actually climb that mountain, suck it, Todd! I'm a bit worried about the world being TOO big, instead of having something more tight. There's pop-ups for fucking everything it seems, and even though they stop after you pick up something for the first time, there are a lot of items. There is some TECHNOLOGY present, like skeleton arms still twitching when you're wielding them, and the AI doesn't seem completely psychic either. Also no overworld theme playing. And over 100 shrines.

So who knows what it'll be like, but now it's time to determine whether Breath of the Wild is actually a Zelda game! The Zelda cycle begins anew.

Do you have a link to footage or info? I couldn't even find a page for the game on Push Square (though I did read the announcement about it elsewhere). All I found was a brief YouTube video (though it did look sweet).

only a short off screen grab
https://twitter.com/ryorca/status/742831434772025346
tho the characters were confirmed by an offscreen character selection screen - bullet and doris. it's widescreen now so it doesn't look like much camera scrolling/offscreen spawns, they seemed to respect the pixel art too, it looks like the same character models but the other assets have been redone.

nier automata and nioh trailers look good too. missed the stream for the new Yakuza but saw screens that looked adequate.

sweet. I'm surprised and glad that they went with the classic style pixel art. Natsume's booth also has that new River City game for 3DS that looks interesting.

Nintendo's E3 showing is a bit disappointing so far. Zelda looks interesting, but I was hoping for more than already announced games and yet another Mario Party. Hopefully, something gets announced tomorrow. I was hoping to see a US announcement for 3D Picross 2. I don't feel Nintendo took the right approach to E3 this year.

Haha I like the Skyrim jab. The climbing looks like link can just slide up any surface as long as he has stamina for it.. Which isn't all that impressive but ah well.

The popups already seem leagues better than Skeward Suck. It looks like they can be dismissed with a single button press for the most part instead of the pace breaking insult to intelligence that was Skyward's system.

I don't think there'll be a limit on how many healing items you can use; there isn't in Skyrim, to continue that comparison. Difficulty? Nah, just pause the game and chug ten potions, no sweat. The lack of challenge in general may be a problem.. but then it usually is with Zelda.

IF.. IF they deliver on this. If the game is actually a joy to explore and the world isn't just copy pasted boredom after the first few hours; then the game will be delivering what nearly every Zelda has promised since the first NES outing, and usually fails miserably at.

People often tell me the draw of Wind Waker is the exploration, which I laugh at.

Ubisoft was a disappointment. South Park presentation was decent, but we already knew that was coming.

Sony's press conference was pretty great. Crash Bandicoot Remastered will be interesting, they're PSX games you can't just port them to "remaster" them. The Last Guardian still looks good and has a release date now. Days Gone looked good until they revealed the most generic zombie gameplay you can imagine. Horizon: Zero Dawn still looks fantastic. I'm excited for Detroit: Become Human. Detective gameplay and meaningful choices? Sounds good. Kojima is working on converting creepy PS3 trailer rejects into a game. Resident Evil is apparently a horror game again.

Wild Guns Reloaded looks good.

And E3 made me realize they named the new Prey game... Prey. I hate the morons in marketing who insist on this bullshit so much. I want a new Prey, I enjoyed Prey, but a new game by people who try to bury the old one? Eh...

Prey should become a long-running series, with every game called just Prey.

Imagine if Square didn't number any of their Final Fantasy games.

God, enough with the remake/remodel stuff. Really does suggest ideas are thin on the ground and/or stuff is just way too expensive to produce so we're got to have this sort of filler to make it look like games are coming out. I swear release schedules never used to be this sparse!

Arkham, Skyrim, Crash Bandicoot, FF7, Resi 2... Resi 5 FFS.

At least Recore has gotten a surprise "no gamplay 'til now... this year motherlovers" release date. Seemed like everything was rolling up in 2017. Still waiting for someone to pull a Goldeneye Wii and announce something cool out of nowhere that's actually coming in 3 months.

Edit: also we have no games so woooo buy a new console for VR and/or 4K which is going to super expensive and niche as fuck but yaaaay get hyped up folks!!!!

Nintendo just announced a couple more 3DS games. Western release for the Boxboy sequel (now called BoxBoxBoy) and a new game by Grezzo named Ever Oasis that looks like it mixes Zelda like elements with city building.

It really annoys me how Sony of America has treated the Vita. It sold well for a while in Japan, but instead of actually producing hype for it, they show virtually nothing for it and market it as an accessory for PS4. That was last year, but it's no surprise that Vita is almost non-existent at e3 this year.

Is September 16th the worldwide release for DQ7? Or just the US?

Announcement of an announcement was disappointing. I remember when e3 used to be about announcing and showing off games. Now more and more games are saved to be shown off at a later time.

No, no waifu boobies games yet for me.

For HTCvive I tried:

Tilt Brush (godly)
Audio Shield (so-so)
Space Pirate Trainer (awesome)
and I watched a bit of Contraption and Universe Sandbox.

For Oculus Rift I mostly watched/experienced some video demos and played a little bit of Eve Valkyrie which is a simple spaceship shooter but god damn was it fun and immersive. We didn't have a 1070 video card and the motion controllers aren't released yet, so the Oculus platform still has a little catching up to do.

Sounds very promising.
