Well, given that you swore a little too much I had to pencil you in as a 'possible bad seller' :) If we both agree and all goes well I shall ask to have that removed. No one is out to get any one.

I have asked you to raise a claim through Royal-Mail. Your item is insured to a few hundred pounds which should be enough to pay for the repairs.
The very worst that RM can say is 'no' but if you stand the chance to get back the cash then I would do it and I have said that I will provide proof for you to claim.

Images I took before the box was opened and during:

GLS state here that they had to apply the tape to maintain the box's integrity 'nachgebessert':

If anyone needs to post a machine out in future put in plenty of packing, wrap several layers of bubblewrap around the machine, put in foam and crumpled newspaper.

I just sent a MegaCD2 today out to a buyer and I made sure that it was well packed.

The box was not really very sturdy and there was not much space between the machine and the box's side so any impact during transit would have been absorbed by the machine.

The issue is only with the modded video output stage though so the original motherboard appears to function.

I'm drawing a line, like I said on PM.
I agree to pay everything and you have taken that on-board too.
I'm not going to pretend to be happy when I'm not.

I don't know for sure that RM is going to cover all these costs...well might not seem a lot, but my personal circumstances are, I'm out of work.
I don't know why I should say anything like this to you, because anything like this I have said to you this far, you class as my own shortcomings.

I will help you all the way in getting a claim put together. I will write up what they need on my side too.

No one is out to get you at all. There are solutions but we just need to raise a claim to get you your cash back. The worst they can do is deny that any wrong was done on their part but it is worth a try.

Thank you. I have also sent a thank you PM.
Lets end it now, at worse, I agree to everything.
So, that's the end of it from me, you'll get what you have asked for, on time and as agreed.

Why? In-case I needed assistance from a mod.
I was on the receiving end too, and yet, you directed it at me. :)

Isn't the Famicom AV mod super simple? Like remove two resistors, add a capacitor and resistor and then wire up one RCA connector?

Or was something different done for this famicom?

The output stage from what I saw in this machine's case was a small circuit consisting of a transistor, a few capacitors and some resistors connected to a headphone connector. It looks like the audio is also connected to this connector too but I didn't look into that, I was just looking at the video.

I took some photos of the machine when I checked it. I didn't get one of the top side of the mod but you can see that small piece of vero board is the mod. The green wire that you see is connected to the PPU's pin 17 which is the unamplified video signal.
Either way I do not want to be liable for any damage caused so there is no way that I am prepared to fix it myself given that it arrived non working.

You have asked for £10 for this, I have agreed to this.

I notice that he mostly uses this site for sales so please all be aware that this guy is not to be trusted with your money and nor can he be relied up on to keep to his word.

If he had nothing to hide I am fairly sure that he would have logged in but there you go :D

I have written up my experience in the 'Bad Traders' section here:
