Just as a quick update. All of our Japan office is shut down right now for Golden Week. So still no information that I can give out. Don't want you guys to think I forgot about you.

The profit margin on selling trash to degenerates is usually pretty good, so I suppose so.

To Degiga (and Cave...) :

It would be VERY AWESOME if you release dodonpachi daifukkatsu with it alternative soundtrack that was in the mobile port !

This is my only motivation to buy it again...

Well, Japan is back in office, I took a long weekend directly after they got back (I haven't had a lot of time off recently with all our releases and such). So technically I'm on vacation right now until Tuesday, which is why I said no new news until midweek. But I can't seem to avoid doing a little work anyway. I'm bad at not working. So I decided to check in on you guys and make sure things were going well.

Hey, everyone. Info on our previous things: Slowdown issues still being worked on. DDP: DFK, not all of what is included is decided yet. I'm pushing for as much to be included as we possibly can.

On to some new stuff. So RefRain -prism memories- has JUST released on Steam (With OST as well!). It's an amazing doujin game from RebRank, and I'm sure that several of you could explain the game way better than I could. I've had a lot of fun with it, and the bullet patterns are literally gorgeous. The problem is, it doesn't have the name recognition that something like a CAVE game would get. Or DariusBurst. It's going to need all the help it can get. We're pushing as much as we can with our media contacts, and pulling out every social media trick we can think of. But the one thing I think would help is you.

I'm not asking you to like, buy up 80 copies of the game each. I'd never do something like that. But if you have social media, if you could perhaps share some about it, help us get the word out. We really want to bring over more of the smaller doujin titles. We have connections in Japan for them. But we have to prove, both to ourselves and to the devs that we can make them worth while to bring to the West. If you don't feel like helping, that is fine, too. I'm not going to try (nor could I anyway) to force anyone into it. Every little bit will help, though, and for every bit you guys do, we owe you.

Thanks in advance.

Bought and posted about it on social media. Would love to see more doujinshmups because of the variety they continue to bring to the genre.

I've been playing the soundtrack in the background as I work. That soundtrack is stellar.

Is there something wrong with my setup, or is the config utility actually untranslated?

That is odd, it's translated on my setup. Could there be a language setting somewhere messing with it?

It turned out to be some .NET weirdness on my end. I guess when confused the app just defaults to japanese

On-topic: Is there any official preview for the OST (aka not searching it up on YouTube)? Trying to decide whether I want to get it since I've never listened to it before.

How is this related to Dethsmiles? Unless Deathsmiles 2?

I believe it was meant to be a sarcastic comment; showing a video of someone at Cave goofing around with a program while [i}Deathsmiles[/i] is in need of fixing.

Did the X360 port of DFK have any issues on release that needed to be patched later? Just wondering what to expect from the Steam port.

Depends where, the US release had things screwed up IIRC, don't remember if there was a patch or not.

I think for every Steam release we specifically mentioned all the things that could go wrong, in the hope Cave would not do all the mistakes, but nothing we said went through, obviously since the beginning back with Blackbird the actual shmup gamers don't have the ear of Cave's staff.

NOTE: I mean it in the sense they should listen to what actual gamers have to say, and seriously, technically, before even beginning to work on the ports.
