Do we know if 5pb even holds the licenses to those two games anymore? They almost certainly lost the DOJ license after what happened and I figured the Ketsui PS3 release was just them milking the license before it expired.
I feel a little bad for them considering how much abuse they're taking for not porting X, Y, and Z when they basically _can't_. CAVE is on life support and they're barely able to get these basic 360 ports out the door right now. Depending on how these do overall, we may never even see the full lineup of existing CAVE-created 360 ports.
Even if 5pb doesn't have the rights to the license at this point, they'd still own the existing port code. CAVE would have to re-port the whole thing from scratch or pay 5pb for it. So I think if we ever get DOJ/Ketsui, it'll be the last two games they do simply because they have a lot of other existing 360 code they can update and recompile with a lot less trouble first.
They'd need to make enough money to make a re-port justifiable for those, too. You'd probably be better off begging 5pb to do their own PC ports of their code. Assuming the quality wasn't complete garbage, anyway.

Cave did release their own DOJ port for iOS in 2012 so I think they are at least capable of making a PC port of that game, and also Ketsui since it uses the same engine.

Same. I'm all over Dangun though.
This'll be the third in a row I am buying. Won't be getting feveron, I sold my ps4, didn't like the controller and load times. Hope they bring it over to pc, I mean it's fine in mame but I'd love an official release with leaderboards.
Tbh a Cave game that could benefit a lot from being on PC would be Deathsmiles IIX. It could be ported to run natively since it originally ran on PC-based hardware and hopefully with some graphics options to improve on those ugly-ass models that the 360 port had. The game ain't that great but it's undeniable that it would benefit A LOT from being ported to PC.

Not only that, but a bleeping English translation would be nice. >.>
Who knows if they will port any more games to Steam? It started out with 2 games and when Deathsmiles had come out, Blackbird said there would be a third title.
After the release of Mushihimesama someone asked if CAVE was happy with the sales and Blackbird said that they were. So 10k sales is ok for them, it seems.
Noone has said anything about more games coming out? Personally I hope they will port the games that were region locked.
It all depends on the costs of porting the games versus the profits they can make, doesn't it? Even if the sales aren't stellar, if they are making money, why should they stop?

Last year we weren't getting shit and now we have 3 Cave games on Steam. They could port everything for what I care as long as there is some hope that at the end a new arcade game will be developed.
