Battle Bakraid
Hi all
I was extremely lucky to come across a Battle Bakraid PCB the other day in Akihabara.
The Eprom has obviously been dumped in the past to erase the scores so all the extra planes are erased. I have to unlock now.
But as per usual I'm having a nightmare getting it to work.
I'm using the codes from
http://www.world-of-arcades.net/R8zing/ ... rets_2.htm
I have the game DIP switches set to free play currently.
Is there another way or do i just have to keep going at it?

Re: Battle Bakraid
Can't be of much help but let you know that I used the info on that page to unlock everything. I remember it took a good few tries though.
Re: Battle Bakraid
There's a free play mode in Battle Bakraid?

Re: Battle Bakraid
You probably mean eeprom and it's probably dead.
Re: Battle Bakraid
iirc for the raizing games that require codes to be inputted AFTER inserting a credit, you do NOT want the games on freeplay (because adding a credit doesn’t technically do anything).

Re: Battle Bakraid
Set it to 1 credit per coin, then input the codes like described at Sheep's site. Also, you can initialize the board and reset the scoreboards and unlocked planes in the service menu.
Feedback will set you free.

Re: Battle Bakraid
For the life of me I still can't get these codes to work it is a right pain. So if the eprom is shot would that stop them working? And if that is the case can I replace it with a new one?Muchi Muchi Spork wrote:You probably mean eeprom and it's probably dead.

Re: Battle Bakraid
It's eeprom, not eprom. There's a huge difference. You would need to identify it and replace it with a new one and that "should" fix it. If you post a scan or high res where I can see all the chip types I can find it.
Re: Battle Bakraid
I think it could be this - at least I know this is 100% the case with dimahoo since my local arcade has it set on free play which locks out the extra players. found out about that yesterday actually.chempop wrote:iirc for the raizing games that require codes to be inputted AFTER inserting a credit, you do NOT want the games on freeplay (because adding a credit doesn’t technically do anything).

Re: Battle Bakraid
I bought it at Mac. I got it for just over ¥65000. The cost of PCBs have gone through the roof these days

Re: Battle Bakraid
There's no way Bakraid costs that much these days...

Unfortunately trap15 it really is the case here in Japan. Over the last year shmups just went bonkers.

Yup. God, i wish we still lived in the olden days where STV would've been flogged in public.

On the last email list I got from Sophia corp they were asking like 170000 ¥ for a Muchi Muchi Pork board. Even if it's a kit that's absolutely insane.Gingerzilla wrote:Unfortunately trap15 it really is the case here in Japan. Over the last year shmups just went bonkers.
I'm surprised they weren't asking more than that for Bakraid to be honest

Yes, that MMP pcb with copied art for 170k yen was a surprise.
