Tnx, so as it is, the EU/PAL release is more likely the build that's used for the translation, though I wished, like some of us here, it would be just a complete non-accented one for those being Casper/Rosa/Follett, but oh well.

Either way, its going good as it is.

From the JP PR: Deathsmiles will be ~$20 with a 10% discount during the first week. They'll also be releasing the OST, the arrange soundtrack and the Namiki Selection arrange soundtrack as DLC.

(The Mushi Special Arrange & 1.5 soundtracks are up on Steam right now: $4.99 each, or $3.99 until March. FLAC included!)

They're also doing another mobile retweet campaign: if they hit 2525 retweets, Deathsmiles iOS will be free for a limited time (the Android version will be very cheap, they can't evenly discount them for whatever reason):

I hope this also means that they finally bring back the european android version! Paid good money for it and now it's gone...perfect example for the dark side of digital distribution.

Deathsmiles will be released on Steam on March 10th (10% discount, free OST, for the first week) while the two Mushihimesama Arranged Soundtracks (1.5 and Arrange) are already available (20% discount).

Why didn't they include the "Smartphone/iOS mode" on the Steam release? That one actually gave a very nice replayability value to the game.

-is Degica still planning to release a soundtrack for DARIUSBURST Chronicle Saviours?
-any info you may share on the release date for the DLCs based on SEGA properties? And is anything more planned after these 6 DLCs are released?

I don't know what country you live in, but Amazon has the album available in the US at least.

If you specifically mean a release through Steam or something, I'll defer to them.

I'll check the above links to see if any of the European Amazon stores allows me to buy the digital soundtrack (last time I checked, I wasn't able to purchase MP3s from those stores).

I haven't played many shmups since DBCS' release and overall have been really busy with work. Today, I was thinking on checking out the DBCS DLC and decided to drop by to see if there are any news on Cave's next port, but it appears that things have slowed down a lot at Degica. Based on his name change and his 3-month absence, Blackbird isn't employed there anymore. The new contact, mitchell, only has 6 posts in two years in this forum. Do you guys think the PC shmup porting galore wasn't profitable enough for them? Are they stopping with Deathsmiles? Even if that;s the case, at least I wanted to take a minute to appreciate their effort in bringing obscure-as-fuck but amazing games like Eschatos to a new audience, the region-locked Mushihimesama to the West, and the fantastic DBCS to consoles and PC for the first time. Mad respect, Degica.

And just to say, speaking from the perspective of Degica, our Steam releases have not gotten a limp reception either. Shmups are some of our best sellers.

... keeping in mind that "best seller" implies absolutely nothing about the magnitude of the "profit". But for the time being it must be sustainable to some degree.

PS: I do know what the third game is, Some people will definitely be happy (granted the fact that every game in the CAVE catalog has been asked for, this is the most nonclue clue ever), and Degica is indeed handling the promotion and publishing for it. And the announcement will be coming soon, depending on your definition of soon.

Basically most of the recent information has be has been dropped in the Cave announces Deathsmiles as next Steam release! topic. I'm not even sure Nick knows that this topic exists as it was Blackbird who originally created it.

Hey guys.

You should be hearing more news on the next shmup brought over by us in the next few weeks, won't be at PAX East, though we would have loved for it to have been, we couldn't get it sorted with the dev. Anyway, sorry for the slow replies, we've been busy getting ready for PAX East, so I haven't had as much time to hit up the forums here in the last couple of weeks.

If you are here, hit us up at booth 3224. We are doing some high score competitions for a few of the shmups (I don't have the list of which ones right now, but I'm pretty sure DBCS is one of them) and we have it set up on a super sweet display.
