Pardon me? Just checked my calendar: it's been almost four weeks, not two. And having ordered multiple times from P/A in the past, it's never been like this before. Not even once.
Even so: let's say you're right. According to P/A, the thing was shipped 1/13, nine days after release. Made it to the US on 1/18. Cleared into the US on 1/20. It's been a week-and-a-half since then. They waited a full week-and-a-half before they even shipped the thing, and at this point, the game's basically been out for a full month, and it's not even here.
So what, you ask? Take NCSX for example: they've got the game in stock. Have for weeks, and they're in New York. I could order it and have it here in three days via US Media Mail at this point. Trackable and everything. I've ordered several times from P/A in the past and never had any issues. This time? I've emailed them twice, jumped through every little hoop they've asked me to do (including running down to my local post office on my own time and being told that there's *nothing* that they can do, and no one has access to Customs), and P/A's had my money for three-and-a-half MONTHS, now. Note that they charged me in full at the time of my preorder back in freaking October, not when the game shipped. This was never a problem for me until now, since I've never had any issues with them before.
Even the people at Paypal were saying "they could have walked the thing backwards with one leg" and gotten it here before now. And that's a quote. Look: part of the responsibility of the seller/shipper (who is being paid both for the product in question *as well as* shipping) is to know how to get it here without problems. When Amazon screws up, they own it: I've gotten full refunds from Amazon for being just a day late, which is pretty darned good customer service, I'll admit. This isn't: I emailed P/A a week ago, and they sent me a "This is us blowing you off with a smile on our faces" email in return. Very well...I patiently waited another full week, knowing that the thing was supposedly in country. I don't care where you live in these continental United States: *nothing* takes a week to get from one side of the country to another, even via ground. Nothing at all, and what's more: Michigan's in the Midwest, so there's no reason it should take this long. Ever.
They screwed up, and they're not willing to admit it, or what's more: they don't care. I've done what they asked, and now it's time to play hardball. To paraphrase Larry Gomez from Kill Bill Vol. 1: "Screwin' with your cash is the only thing you kids seem to understand!" Granted. Let's see what happens now.
