Wasshoi in Tokaigi 2016 (30-31 Jan '16)

Some of you might remember last year I restreamed a live broadcast from Tokaigi's "Game Party Japan" festival, which hosts Wasshoi in Japan - it was restreamed on my Twitch channel as the live broadcast is behind a Nico Douga login (with better quality video being behind a subscription), and it gave us a way to send the broadcast to those who didn't have access to Nico Douga, as well as set up a place to chat about it and commentate on the runs.

Well, they're doing it again this year, and I plan to restream the broadcast again (other commitments and internet connectivity notwithstanding).

While there are no concrete details as of yet, Game Party Japan is scheduled to run on the last weekend of January, namely Sat 30th to Sun 31st January. According to this information page, Gunbird 2 and Mushihimesama (of some description) are two games slated for demonstrations, along with more to be announced.

EDIT: More information via NTSC-J:
Gunbird 2 will be played by Sanchazame who holds many records in many games. He has the WR for Valpiro in GB2. SYO will provide commentary.
Mushihimesama will be played by Dame K.K who holds many records in many games. He has the WRs in Mushi Ultra for both Autofire ON and OFF. echaniidx will provide commentary.
The other game to be demoed is Puyo Puyo Tsu with players drapom and HIRO, and commentary by Kumachomu.
It sounds like the event will be rescheduled for 1/29 and 1/30. There's now a cab shortage, but hopefully that won't affect the Wasshoi stuff.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The timetable has Wasshoi scheduled for Sun 31st, 10:30 to 14:00. Owing to the possible rescheduled date, this may change.

More details will be announced as the days count down on their official page. Restream details will be posted here and on my Twitter when their schedule is finalised and made public.

Get hype!

EDIT: Highlights are up.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up. Those dates are still fine for me (even better since it's a Friday start), so as long as they'll stream it, I'll restream it.
Also, Dame.K.K! Finally get to see the legend himself. I'd assume both players will play in the respective categories they have the WR in (so Valpiro in GB2, and Ultra in Mushi).

Based on the events of last year I'm predicting a 0/0 clear with 0-1 miss TLB

I haven't seen any news of a reschedule (as per NTSC-J's post) so it's going ahead as planned in about 25hrs as of this post at http://twitch.tv/IcarusFW (on Sunday 31st, 1.20am GMT).

nicolive link (for those with nico accounts): http://live.nicovideo.jp/watch/lv248883408
We'll be on the Shmups Mumble server.

Depending on how I feel, I might stream something an hour or two before the event, just as a warm up.

Will you also be restreaming the Puyo Puyo Tsu demo? Also does anybody here know anything about the game and is willing to explain it to people watching?

I'll restream the Puyo Tsu demo as well as it's part of the timeslot. I don't think it's that complicated of a puzzler, but if anyone is in the know with regards to advanced techniques etc and wants to comment on it, drop into the Mumble.

All runs have been highlighted and uploaded to Youtube. At time of writing, HD is still processing. The Gunbird 2 replay has been patched with the missing footage from the OBS stream crash, so the full run is now up as a single video rather than the split in my Twitch archives.
