Stop
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

I didn't fly until I was 25 and I watched the first movie the night before.

Re: Have any of you seen Final Destination?
I... actually care a little about this topic.
Enjoyed the first movie very much, vaguely recall seeing the second one, and slacked off and never saw any of the other ones. Aside from the animated Japanese knockoff Another.
An impersonal cosmic force that just wants you dead was also featured in an episode of Supernatural to comic effect. Even if you have no interest in Supernatural, I suggest giving that eppy (Mystery Spot) a shot.
That's my livejournal update for today.

Heh, I just thought of something: If we lived in the Final Destination universe, we might not be using RGB CRTs due to the risk of them exploding. Hell, I bet a big reason new display technologies took over in the Final Destination universe was just due to the fact that the new ones didn't have a risk of exploding and killing you.

Re: Have any of you seen Final Destination?
Is there anything that doesn't have a risk of exploding and killing you in the Final Destination universe?

Walls, maybe? I don't remember a building spontaneously imploding on someone, at least without an elaborate rube goldberg type thing?
Maybe Death has a low amount of MP, like Yahweh does.

Look up the bridge collapse from Final Destination 5.BryanM wrote:Walls, maybe? I don't remember a building spontaneously imploding on someone, at least without an elaborate rube goldberg type thing?

I don't think you've been listening to our friend Bernie Sanders. Our bridges are literally crumbling so all it takes to knock one down is a fat pigeon landing on it sideways.atheistgod1999 wrote:Look up the bridge collapse from Final Destination 5.
Not much MP to make that happen.

Re: Have any of you seen Final Destination?
I saw the first one to kill time and nothing better was on (I was a student, cinema tickets were £2.50!).
It was hilarious. I'm not sure that's what they were going for, but I laughed my arse off.

I think my favorite one is the whole highway sequence at the start of Final Destination 2.
Favorite single death must be the guy getting sucked to the bottom of the pool in The Final Destination (2009)... but cringe inducing and funny at the same time.

The 3D cinema scene in one of them was rather cheesy.
I think 5 is the one that loops the series isn't it. Rather strange they went for that.

This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

Re: Have any of you seen Final Destination?
I recall that Final Destination was released in 3D theatrically. When it was released on Blu-Ray and DVD, it was released with a pair of red 'n' blue styled 3D glasses (this was before the advent of the 3D HDTV era) that works like a charm, old-school 3D. I find it quite hilarious that the Nascar stock car racing scene would end up in massive death to the spectators (as shown in FD-5).
80s 3D Film Factoid: Back in the early 1980s, if you watched one of the theatrical released films like Jaws 3D or The Man Who Wasn't There 3D (both 3D movies made their grand debut back in 1983), you were given a pair of gray-colored transparent 3D glasses that were made by Polaroid to view 'em properly. When both films were released on VHS and Betamax formats for the home video market later on, they were presented in 2D at best.

Re: Have any of you seen Final Destination?
First one I saw in a preview event, not knowing what film I'd see.
It really made an impression and got "under my skin".
After that 2 was just ok and the rest was rubish.
Favourite death: one I can relate to... the tanning machine (or whatever it's called in english)

The tanning scene from FD3 is hilarious though.Super Laydock wrote:Favourite death: one I can relate to... the tanning machine (or whatever it's called in english)

Saw 1 and liked it.
