Mushihimesama on Steam
Re: Mushihimesama on Steam
59-60fps for me. Windows 7 64-bit, Core i5-3210M @ 2.5Ghz, 8GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 4000.
Game runs fine for me, except it keeps forgetting between launches that I set it to fullscreen (but only sometimes, which is what's weird), and some small stuttering (mostly in stage 1, beyond that I didn't really notice it). Slowdown does feel pretty weird but I don't have anything to compare it to.
Edit: Also the game isn't letting me bind change shot type to left shift, so I had to use A as the best substitute.

Seems I can't have Windows running in Portrait mode to play the game. If I leave it in Landscape and just rotate the screen in options it works but running windows in portrait makes the game insta-crash
Also, whenever I hit the start button at the opening it breaks the game so instead I just have been hitting A whenever I relaunch

Cross-posting this from the other thread in the hopes I can find some help here.
The game runs well on my main PC (of course) but I'm having an issue where no matter how many times I'm prompted to create save data, it never actually creates it. I just get prompted over and over, and I know I'm hitting "Yes" because it says it's creating it, but never actually creates it .. I'm running Windows 7 with all the UAC crap off, so I doubt it's any permissions issue ..
As expected, when I quit the game and launch it again, it's forgotten all the config changes I made while the game was running. This is going to be a pain to play if every time I launch it, I have to reconfigure my buttons and screen settings. Hope a fix is found soon. I have a feeling it's something really silly, like it's assuming Steam is installed on C:\ (I have it installed on D:\)

Hmm this works for windowed mode, but when I switch to full, it seems to revert. (I happened to have my graphics card set to scale to aspect ratio, and the Steam UI gets big and blurry.)AimeeSH wrote:I seem to be getting 57.9FPS but haven't noticed any stuttering.
I don't use v-sync as I use freesync.
In the directory there is a file called Mushihimesama.ini which looks like you can change the resolution in.
It contains the following: (Defaults)
[Mushihimesama]
AspectRatio=1
DispFull=0
DispX=542
DispY=354
DispW=1280
DispH=720
Angle=0
I noticed the stuttering on stage 1 when I started looking for it. I read 59 FPS on Windows 7 64bit on a good PC.
Re: Mushihimesama on Steam
Someone went a little nuts with the achievements.
I got 20 of them in half an hour of play.

Windows 7, AMD FX-8350 and GTX 660. So far no problems of any kind, aside for the game forgetting the full screen setting, but that happened only once.Xyga wrote:Hey people please also tell your OS/CPU/GPU's ! ^^
Re: Mushihimesama on Steam
Also experiencing some slowness. The stage 1 music plays for a couple seconds longer than it should.

Re: Mushihimesama on Steam
played 1.5, no stuttering there but slowdown is still super weird. also focus does not seem to work?
Re: Mushihimesama on Steam
Trying it on my laptop now, trying to go into fullscreen puts it into some sort of infinite loop of black screen, mouse cursor/window flickering fuckery where I have to mash the 3 finger salute and then log out or shut down to recover.
I'm getting the exact same issue I had on my main PC, it keeps prompting to make save data but never actually makes it or saves anything .. my laptop is running Windows 8.1, and this time Steam is installed on C:\, so I guess that's ruled out.

I think the first post needs to updated to include links to the Strategy guides that are available as well as the STG weekly videos since both can be a pretty big help for newcomersBkeela wrote:Game is really fun, but I'm finding all the modes confusing. Achievements appear to be mostly useless, except for a couple. Kinda like in Crimzon Clover. Not sure why they do this. What's the point? Of course, i've never seen a game that did achievements differently so i guess Cave is just following the current trend.Tim James wrote:Someone went a little nuts with the achievements.

Having the same problem here, on 32-bit Win7. Can't save replays either. Tried installing on D: and E:, didn't help the issue.Udderdude wrote:Cross-posting this from the other thread in the hopes I can find some help here.

Re: Mushihimesama on Steam
how do you upload replays?
also another thing to report from pokemon's amateur being able to see things skills.
feels like the weird stuttering only happens for me with m power. played s power and game worked fine. Either that or i am really that not used to m power movement but i seriously doubt its that.
EDIT: tried m power again and it works fine. weird just suddenly reversed itself. need to play more 1.5 but anyone else having weird slowdown in 1.5?
1.0 is officially working fine for me now, just need to figure out how to upload replays
setup is
intel i7 2630QM 2.00 ghz

Do they have 1cc achievements? Would be kinda strange if they had achievements for credit feeding to the end but no 1cc's (I think Eschatos and JSS were like this).

They have 1cc achievements for Original, Maniac, and Arrange, but not Ultra. Also none for 1.5, which I guess is understandable since it's DLC.

Well, already playing it on my PC, and it works fine and dandy from here, no problems. X3
I've Come to Deliver Some Bad Luck!
Re: Mushihimesama on Steam
The first thing that came to mind when I started the game up was, "Holy shit, I can't believe this finally happened. Give me more." And by "more" I mean Ibara specifically, but I'll take anything.
I really hope this does well for CAVE and Degica.
This game runs very smoothly on my 6-year old PC. I don't notice any weird stuttering or tearing. The only thing I've noticed is that it sometimes forgets the screen mode setting: I'll have the game set to full screen and the next time I launch it, it will be in windowed mode.

Re: Mushihimesama on Steam
So far so good. I had the full screen issue problem a few more times, but i can just alt-enter any time it happens. Looks like the game overrides any changes you make on your ini file, which won't work in full screen anyway.
Basically, the game is perfect except for the lack of resolution options. That's something i really hope they are going to fix. I just put my monitor in portrait mode and the game looks grainy as hell.

Re: Mushihimesama on Steam
Count me in as one of the people who are experiencing performance problems. My only real comparison is Crimzon Clover, however, which seems to run beautifully in comparison. So while I'm slightly disappointed, Degica has a great record of supporting their games and fixing the broken stuff. I'm not worried about it. I am about to play some CC however, considering I can't stand how the game forces me to map everything around the R2 button (which I still don't quite understand). It will all get sorted out.

Re: Mushihimesama on Steam
Games been working great for me (W10, Core i5 3570K, GTX 960), hopefully those having issues are able to get them resolved.
But for me, this is certainly a worthwhile purchase, and I'm happy I don't need to drag out my J360 for this anymore

The beta was crashing on my PC and then they fixed the bug. I'm sure they will fix more bugs. Look at it this way, after they figure these port problems out they will know what to change on future 360 port releases. They are a small company. They have had bugs on release day even on arcade boards (then they fixed them).

Re: Mushihimesama on Steam
Playing on laptop, Windows 10, 2.4 Ghz, 12 GB RAM, integrated Intel graphics.
Game booted up and detected my third-party 360 controller without problems, but I am having the same issue as others where it asks me repeatedly to create a system/game file but doesn't save my settings after I quit. Turned on the FPS detector thingy, got the mid-50s when playing in a window, mid-40s when in full screen.
Hopefully these technical issues will be fixed before too long.

just curious how does 1.5 PC slowdown compare to the board?Muchi Muchi Spork wrote:The beta was crashing on my PC and then they fixed the bug. I'm sure they will fix more bugs. also just tried ultra max, insane I tell you!
can definitely say i got money's worth now. 1.5 is just amazing, not sure if i'm tempted to call it best CAVE game yet but it comes close!
Re: Mushihimesama on Steam
Those having framerate/stuttering issues - have you tried running the game in a window with your desktop resolution set lower? Also, tried putting the game on a SSD or USB 3.0 stick in a USB 3.0 port? Also, it can't hurt to try defragging the game's files if you don't have access to either of those. And finally .. make sure your CPU hogging background crap is turned off for once.

Re: Mushihimesama on Steam
Yes, they have allready fixed a lot of bugs and going from a set platform to PC always brings driver bugs cos of the many different configurations available.Muchi Muchi Spork wrote:The beta was crashing on my PC and then they fixed the bug. It just started working on my PC and I work full time and commute and I would have to be in fairly intense recent everyday PCB play to really be able to judge it valuably in regard to slowdown accuracy. My videos of it on youtube running next to the Steam port is a better judge than I am right now I think and anyone can do that.
Yes the 1.5 max modes are some of the funnest 1CCs ever.
