Kind of like CC:WI then? (though CC:WI has two resolutions available)Blackbird wrote:The game has a fixed resolution, but it can be scaled, re-positioned, and rotated to fit different screens (similar to the 360 ver).

Well that sucks. I assume it only outputs at 720p then?Blackbird wrote:The game has a fixed resolution, but it can be scaled, re-positioned, and rotated to fit different screens (similar to the 360 ver).
1.5 will be available at launch.

Who's going to be the first to own the PCB, iPoodle port, PS2 port, 360 port and PC port?

Re: Cave x Steam teaser!
Sadly that would be me if I bought the Steam version. Motherfuckers.Udderdude wrote:Who's going to be the first to own the PCB, iPoodle port, PS2 port, 360 port and PC port?

I'll hold out. No rush. Someone let me know when it's at a $4.99 sale price.

Won't you have to own 2 PCBs ?Udderdude wrote:Who's going to be the first to own the PCB, iPoodle port, PS2 port, 360 port and PC port?

I see online leader boards aren't listed on the mushi steam page? Please tell me it does have online leader boards?
Re: Cave x Steam teaser!
Maybe spend more than two seconds on Steam before panicking and posting here:Cee wrote:I see online leader boards aren't listed on the mushi steam page? Please tell me it does have online leader boards?
A robust list of optional features are supported, including:
A training mode to assist with practicing individual stages.
Multiple options to adjust viewing windows, screen size and position, and screen orientation. Try the vertical "tate" mode to get an arcade-authentic picture!
An assortment of beautiful background images.
Support for keyboard customization and multiple controllers.
Online global leaderboards with replay sharing.
Local co-op gameplay.
Steam achievements.
Re: Cave x Steam teaser!
Why would anyone look further than the store page? Thats where every other game lists it's features and online leader boards are always listed.... Just an over sight I guess.
Re: Cave x Steam teaser!
Ewww... why do you still have the PS2 port? I banished that thing as soon as I got the PCB and never looked back.Sadly that would be me if I bought the Steam version. Motherfuckers.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?
Re: Cave x Steam teaser!
Of course i didn't read it because typically (and by typically i mean every game on steam) has that information I was after located on the right in the points bit, so calm your unnecessary sperg attitude.Bonus! wrote:This is on the store page. You didn't even bother to read it.

How will the game run on a computer with Nvidia Geforce GT 520M, 2nd Generation core i5 at 2.3 GHz, and 6 GB of RAM? Will there be a demo available? The Ikaruga demo and Crimzon Clover run fine.

Worst case scenario, Steam will give you a no questions asked refund long as you have less then two hours play time within 14 daysBrianC wrote:How will the game run on a computer with Nvidia Geforce GT 520M, 2nd Generation core i5 at 2.3 GHz, and 6 GB of RAM? Re: Cave x Steam teaser!
Hm, I just now looked at the system requirements and I'm not sure if my CPU is up to task. It far exceeds the 2ghz speed requirement, but it's from the previous generation to i3.
So.... BlackBird, any of your testers have a Core 2 Duo or earlier?

Re: Cave x Steam teaser!
I would be very surprised if it didn't. Core 2 Duo CPUs are very capable. It's just that Intel's marketing tries to convince you that you need to update because the next generation gives you a few more percent.OmegaFlareX wrote:Hm, I just now looked at the system requirements and I'm not sure if my CPU is up to task. Re: Cave x Steam teaser!
I can give you an example of my computer, which runs the game pretty well.
Core i7-2630 quad
8GB Ram
Intel HD 3000 (integrated graphics)
It's pretty dated by modern standards, so I think the game should be lenient, hardware-wise.

Re: Cave x Steam teaser!
That doesn't really help me, since mine is 3 gens behind yours and only 2 cores. I've got ~3x the video power (GTX 260), but that doesn't usually mean anything unless it's a 3D game. Hopefully if I need to refund it I can specify why so you guys aren't like "here's someone who doesn't like the game".
This is true, mine's an E8400, overclocked 20%. It emulated the arcade version at full speed last time I tried it (mame .160), which was surprising.Bonus! wrote:I would be very surprised if it didn't. Core 2 Duo CPUs are very capable.
Re: Cave x Steam teaser!
I tested the game some weeks back on my old set up with Win XP, P4 3,4GHz and it ran fine. Will test again tonight

Sounds like I'll probably be fine. Thanks for the info.Blackbird wrote:I can give you an example of my computer, which runs the game pretty well.

Re: Cave x Steam teaser!
Yeah not sure what mine will make of this. Intel Core2 Extreme Q9300 (2.53ghz quad) and a type of Nvidia Quadro. Some things run better than you'd think and some really badly. It's 6 years old at least.

Re: Cave x Steam teaser!
I think it's pretty dumb to make the Matsuri version, as DLC.
I mean...seriously? This is their first attempt at a new market..and people are already cheap, and think shmups aren't worth 5 dollars, half the time. I'm really surprised they didn't just add it, for free.

Re: Cave x Steam teaser!
Better than having it only available in a limited run like the 360 version was at least
Re: Cave x Steam teaser!
And.. it's out. there's also a "deluxe version" which is 5 bucks more. it either has the soundtrack with it, or the 1.5 with it, but i'm not sure which. if we are really lucky it has both.

Re: Cave x Steam teaser!
The package got renamed to "Mushihimesama Matsuri Pack". I guess it's more clear.
Re: Cave x Steam teaser!
That is more clear. seems reasonable.
Re: Cave x Steam teaser!
DOWNLARDING AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT.
Edit: Well it runs well on my main PC (of course) but I'm having an issue where no matter how many times I'm prompted to create save data, it never actually creates it. I just get prompted over and over, and I know I'm hitting "Yes" because it says it's creating it, but never actually creates it .. I'm running Windows 7 with all the UAC crap off, so I doubt it's any permissions issue ..
Edit 2: As expected, when I quit the game and launch it again, it's forgotten all the config changes I made while the game was running. This is going to be a pain to play if every time I launch it, I have to reconfigure my buttons and screen settings. Hope a fix is found soon. I have a feeling it's something really silly, like it's assuming Steam is installed on C:\ (I have it installed on D:\)
I will test it out on my laptop and netbook (gulp ..) next.
