That's not a bad read. I have to say that it jibes with my experience. Our politics are probably very different (I lean way more anti-gamer gate I think), but the pro-GG people I've followed-back on Twitter have been a pretty diverse bunch. If they were being misogynistic or racist I'd unfollow them in a second, and I did unfollow a couple people who were very right wing, but in general I'd say that they just have different ideas about politics than I do and that's OK. I've been pretty unhappy with how these outlets have handled themselves in the wake of GG, and I've considered it a good demonstration of the principle that the real test of character is what you do when people aren't nice to you. It's eerie to me how much the both sides have in common, down to thinking stuff like doxxing is just fine as long as you're the one doing it.evil_ash_xero wrote:Really good article, at VGChartz.

Oh jeez, THAT person in the news again. A perfect demonstration of someone who thinks they're above any human decency simply for having the right opinions. You called it, gents! SOS from Britlandshire - Cyber VAWG has gone rogue and is shooting down friendly units!
These days I'm more inclined to think that the problem isn't whether someone is left or right wing, it's dogma that's the problem. Although I'm very interested in social justice, I refuse to join some kind of cult. What I see on the Internet just makes me sad.
