My Bananamaku action puzzle game OOKIBLOKS is finally on PC

Post by pixelcorps »

It's taken forever and a day to finally get it done, but my silly action puzzler is finally out on steam!

http://store.steampowered.com/app/399910/
http://skyboygames.itch.io/ookibloks - DRM free version comes with steam key.

OOKIBLOKS turns the action puzzle genre on its head with bright visuals, laughs, challenging gameplay, wacky characters and a
super funky breakbeat and house soundtrack, running at 60FPS.

Ooki the monkey must take cute, furry revenge on a bunch of banana thieving crabs, but to do so he must :

Force feed a GIANT GHOST CAT until it FARTS ITSELF TO DEATH!
Punch CRABS, FISH AND MUSHROOMS - in the FACE! :o
Get help from a super cute flying ANGEL CAT!
LAUNCH MISSILES from his little pink BUTT!
Fill the screen with hundreds of bananas via the COMBO SYSTEM for MASSIVE SCORES!

Image

All this and DAILY CHALLENGES that allow you to get more helping ITEMS from the OOKI BALLS vending machine!

A 17 track MP3 soundtrack is also bundled for free!

Has monkey as a playable mascot character ever made a killing outside of Japan? Out of 4 people I presented Super Monkey Ball to, 2 found the idea of playing as a monkey too off-the-wall to put any serious effort in playing it. Both used to play computer pinball extensively, so it's not like they demanded any cars or guns to play with in all their games.

Bloons was pretty popular and that had a monkey protagonist.

(I still play the Bloons tower defense games quite a bit, though NK really isn't that great at game design)

lol @ HUGE BOOGER IS APPROACHING!

I guess I'll look into getting this. Extra luv for offering DRM-free + Steam key.

I think you have to watch some videos to get an idea what it's about, the screenshot the opening post here makes it look kind of boring.

There aren't too many people who can claim such odd and spectacularly aimless contributions on such a regular basis. It's almost at Captain levels, but with an inexplicable level of innocence.
