31 hours left till release. My body is ready.

I have heard so much about this game and always wanted to try it. I am actually more hype for this than I am for mushihimesama.

Are the two extra games that will be sold in the wonder pack any good?

You mean Judgement Silversword and Cardinal Sins? Well, they're very similar to Eschatos gameplay-wise. Other than that, they look retro. But yeah, they're fine.

Eschatos is the spiritual successor to them. They're both excellent games in their own right, though I think Eschatos is superior.

They're great. I would definitely recommend getting the whole pack as long as it's reasonably priced (no idea what the price difference is with the bundle, but they're both *kinda almost* as good as Eschatos)

And it's up! It's $15 normally, 10% off right now, and the Eschatos Wonder Pack (OST + Judgement Silversword + Cardinal Sins) is $5 more ($4.50 right now).

Blackbird, could you please mention on the Steam page what the Eschatos Wonderpack contains? From this thread I know its the base game, soundtrack, and the two bonus games, but this information is not available on Steam.

The replays should have been reset before launch - that's a test score. Is anyone else seeing that score on their game?

Ratikal might be seeing it because he's got a test version, but if anyone else is seeing test scores, we need to figure out why the boards weren't cleared.

Ah ok, that specific one is not visible on my copy, but the other scores are.

I've got to say I'm going to miss the arrange dlc soundtrack lol. Original is still fantastic though.

Congrats on the release!

I reinstalled the game and no longer see the test score. I do still see my score from August.

I'm curious though if the game could be pushed that far in terms of score.

It's entirely possible that score was hacked, it was a tester score and wasn't supposed to be in the final version ^_^; We cleared the boards last night, but some of the beta scores reverted for some reason. We just checked and deleted all the beta scores again. Please let us know if you find any other scores from before 9/18, they should all be removed now.

Well, had a brief stint at #1 on the Original Normal leaderboard :P

Looks like the competition is coming in now

Great release, my only real complaint is that somehow the graphics seem a little bit off at lower resolutions. Like if I run the game at 640x480 I get a lot of odd aliasing that isn't there if I run my 360 copy at the same resolution.

Otherwise an excellent port.

Okay, few things about these ports.

- Judgement Silversword and Cardinal Sins do not have online leaderboards, like 360 has. Kind of an important oversight.
- Silversword has 1920x 144hz support, but Eschatos has no indication if it actually supports 144hz
- Silversword/Sins has Directinput support, but Eschatos only has Xinput and keyboard support

What kind of controller are you using, Elixir? I tested a direct input Saturn controller which worked fine, so hopefully it didn't break from the last time I checked it >_<.

I'm using a PS2 Saturn pad through a PS2 to PC adapter. Just tried with Mecha Ritz which uses Directinput and it works, booted up Eschatos and nothing.

Would like to confirm though that DirectInput does work - I'm using a PS4 pad without an xinput wrapper and it's perfectly fine for me. :)

I know this is probably super early to talk about, but is there a chance of seeing perhaps Ginga Force make its way over if this does well? I'd love to have a fully localized version of that (textwise anyway) so I can play without needing to look at translations when changing weapons and such.

JSS -Resurrection- has at least one track extended/arranged by yousuke yasui. Noticed it in the section where you first approach the moon and it says so in the credits. Much needed for this game really, I hope there's more.

The exploit with mashing spreadshot while holding forward shot is not removed in JSS / cardinal sins.

Very happy that Eschatos has all effect options unlocked immediately. I always wanted to turn off the bloom effects in the 360 version but you get them at a very late level. Eschatos is surprisingly heavy on my system, the last boss causes some frame drops.

Just hoping that JSS/CS eventually get online leaderboards, otherwise very happy with the wonder pack so far.

Firing front + spread at the same time in JSS is a tough issue. Do we leave it in so the game is faithful to the original, or remove it? There may actually be an argument for making it easier to do since some parts of the game seem to be designed around using both at once. What do you think?

I think it would be really cool to see as an option. Using the exploit makes your shot much more powerful and breaks the game balance at least on normal. A lot of people view it as a negative. Then again the game is very difficult even with it. Nobody ever cleared hard mode on the 360 port and just a couple did special.

With the varying amount of slowdown I couldn't find a consistent autofire rate for it to work well (never used on 360). Got it set to 10hz atm which is certainly doable without auto.

But whether it should be on/off for legit scores on leaderboards no idea. Ask M-KAI? :P

Eschatos so far so good but as I posted in the bug reporting thread in Steam the game framerate drops at the most randomest times. Just weird...

I've been getting framerate drops too, but I've been assuming that that's because my laptop doesn't handle 3D graphics very well (it's just running on integrated graphics).
