You should post this thread in the shmups chat subforum, not many visit development subforum, released game threads get many times more attention on shmups chat ;). Also the game looks neat.

Moving thread to Shmups Chat.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

This game looks like a lot of fun. I would love to hear some impressions if anyone has any.

It's out now. I had problem with steam overlay but I switched the overlay off.

I'll give this more play time soon.

RHE The overlay problems had been solved and, on top of that, a full screen mode had been added (F8).

This looks pretty good, but I would like to see what others here think of the game before buying it.

Have you considered sending a copy to Bullet Heaven to be reviewed?

Good idea, I will send them if they are willing to test it.

A demo is on the works, but I'm awfully busy with itch.io launch and giving customer support to my Japanese launch on http://maginodrive.jp/.
Considering my Japanese it's limited to "good day" and "thank you" it's strenuous to say the least.

Why is it a Jamestown "clone"? Because it's a 2D vertically scrolling shmup?

It's got gold coins. Jamestown also has gold coins. It's also got red and blue bullets. Jamestown also has red and blue bullets. Definitely a ripoff if you ask me.

Any chance this is going to be out on GOG.com too? It looks really slick, love the art style.

It looks interesting. But with no English reviews to be read, and only a very short gameplay trailer to show it in action, I'm not up for tossing $10 out there yet. Hopefully someone will give it a full review that I can read before the sale ends.

^^ This, or a direct download. I'll buy it as soon as a drm-free copy is made available.
I have already submitted the game to GoG.com for evaluation. Also I'll probably publish it on Itch.io.
So a DRM free version will be sold. Only, I can't really tell when, because it doesn't completely depend on me.

It's already DRM-free. You don't need Steam running to play the game, only to download it. Then you can just backup your installation folder.

Yawn, yet another "I want to be IKD-san but don't have a budget or talent" amateur hour snoozefest. Looks like it was drawn in MS Paint. Blue Wish Resurrection's creator at least had the sense to make it free and use simplistic pre-rendered 3D that's hard to mess up.

I love "shoot 'em up" so hard that I keep getting disc read errors from forgetting to wipe the seminal fluids off my 360 CAVE games. If I had any PCBs, I would have drilled glory holes into them long ago.

Fucking JonTron? What are you, a 10-year-old Roblox player?

What all the amateurs attempting to take advantage of the void left by CAVE's departure from the STG genre aren't getting is that you can't just copy-paste some variation on DDP mechanics into your no-budget Game Maker (or whatever) project, and then expect quality and recognition to magically spring forth by osmosis. Without their distinctive, immersive and sometimes inimitable visuals, characters, world settings, audio, and stage designs (not just in how the stages are constructed but how they flow into each other), CAVE's games would be only average. If Deathsmiles had the limited production values of the original Cotton though somehow played exactly the same, I would consider it just okay, but as it stands it's my favorite horizontal STG ever.

Well, I guess they're not ENTIRELY inimitable, since this game's style and setting is trying to ape Akai Katana as hard as it can. And failing - lol at the walrus mustache guy.
