Have you guys modded your 1 Chips with a THS7314 amp (like what RetroRGB offers) or just leave it unmodded? Is this what you guys mean by fixing/preventing a 'vertical line issue'? Sorry if I haven't aced my homework in this subject yet, still researching like mad for preparing all of my consoles for marriage with my newly squired BVM.

No mods are needed for RGB on the 1CHIPs other than the -03 and the mini both needing Csync restored if you want to use it. The vertical line issue isn't related to amps offered by RetroRGB.

I've been back and forth about installing the amp but as you can read on the previous page, I got rid of the vertical bars completely with the caps alone and the difference between the 1chip and the mini-amp seems so small. If I want sharper pixels all I have to do is up the sharpness on the framemeister or TV. Even doing that I think leaving the sharpness at 0 on the framemeister gives me the best image. I don't think I'll do the mod.

Never move the sharpness past zero on the Framemeister for 240p games. If you want the most in-focus pixels you can get, turn autoscaler off and set H_Scaler to 4 and V_Scaler to 6 or 7. That's the sharpest pixels without introducing artifacts like ringing.

I meant 0 or 1. Not above...but I'll try the offset for sure.

I didn't read the whole thread, so sorry if this has been mentioned.

Some games will have white dots kind of pop up here and there, on the SNES Mini. Magical Pop'n is one of them, and I have a thread in this forum about it. You can search for it, and see pics and stuff.
I went ahead and got a normal SNES as well, for the games that have these weird issues.

Super Ghouls N' Ghosts and Demon's Crest have some junk at the top of the screen. It's not bad. Magical Pop'n was the only one that really irritated me to the point, where I bought another system.
