Yesterday I finally recieved my package from Japan

.
There were 2 PCB's in the package - Mystic Riders / Gun Hoki and the awesome

kusoge Blood Warriors.
Both PCB's are not working

.
I cleaned the PCB's and visually checked them and there seems to be nothing wrong with them

. So I changed the ROM board of Mystic Riders to my R-Type Leo main board and Mystic Riders worked flawlessly

. So the fault is on the Mystic Riders main board (M92 A-B). Here is the big question - is it better trying to fix that main board or should I try to hunt down another M92 A-B board and could you take any M92 A-B board from any M92 game ?
If any of you guys (System 11

) have a working M92 A-B main board lying around please let me know.
Blood Warriors is a really strange case.
At first the PCB didn't do anything when turned on

.
Then with the PCB on I pressed on the surface chips on the top board and the "RAM Check OK" message popped up on screen but instead of starting the game it stays on the "RAM Check OK" message for ca. 30 seconds, then you have a white garbled mess on screen (just one second) and then it seems to reset to the "RAM Check OK" message - and this cycle repeats endless (I let it run for 1/2 hour).
My question is now - since it seems that the surface mounted chips need resoldering (something I can't do myself and it's not guaranteed to work then) I think it's best to just buy a Great 1000 Mile Rally PCB (it does run on the same hardware) and take the main board from there - so question is - Is a swap like this working with the Kaneko PCB's ?
And as above - If anybody has a working Great 1000 Mile Rally PCB floating around let me know.
God the PCB hobby is really fun but sometimes it pisses me off

=> end of rant / help cry
