Mushi duel. Wow!. Like a fricking neo geo conversion of futari or some shit. Biggest let down since no ibara for the 360. The one good thing to come from this thread is that i now have some cool psykio games on my ipad.

The Psikyo games on android are fucking ace! Today I was playing a bit of Strikers, it's so much better than Mushi Duel. The thread for those games is here if anyone wants to play multiplayer.mtbd500 wrote:Mushi duel. Wow!. Like a fricking neo geo conversion of futari or some shit. Re: Mushihimesama Duel(?) announced (iOS/Android)
Hmmmmhmmmmmm, am I allowed to say I have some kind of good time with the game ?
Sure, the explosions and boss transitions are not great, sure levels transitions are awkward, and sure there IS that come-back-to-it-everyday-and-pay-if-you-want-to-progress feeling.
But after al this is a free to play, and Futari. For those who dont have access to IOS, this might be a good remedy.

Re: Mushihimesama Duel(?) announced (iOS/Android)
I had sorta thought about that angle, but it's really not even close to acceptable as a "janky way to play Futari." The actual gameplay isn't close to the original game at all, aside from the most superficial things like the stage graphics. It's kinda like playing the Tiger Electronics version of your favorite NES game.guigui wrote:But after al this is a free to play, and Futari. Imagine a terrible korean copycat game of futari, and Mushihimesama Duel is one step even worse than that.
The most terrible thing they did was that the higher difficulty modes are locked from the start, meaning that if you're even decent at shmups...
..let's just say that have fun playing novice original.

Re: Mushihimesama Duel(?) announced (iOS/Android)
I'd rather play Futari on MAME than playing a cheap F2P crap, as emulation is totally free and has quality. Really, Cave is been shitty with Android's users, like if we are some kind of tasteless animals.guigui wrote: But after al this is a free to play, and Futari. And the salt to the injury is this game was defined as the "Best Portable Shmup of 2014" by the french site Shoot Them Up! (the judges and the assholes at Cave, though).
I only hope that this title has the minimal usefulness to keep the notoriety of the series for future PC/wherever ports.

Re: Mushihimesama Duel(?) announced (iOS/Android)
Played it a bit a while back (two years ago?), it's a pretty straightforward smartphone conversion of Daifukkatsu with an extra "smartphone mode" too. Dunno about how faithful it is to the arcade and/or Xbox 360 versions (I played it long before playing the arcade version) but I didn't really notice anything to complain about other than touchscreen controls being an awkward fit for such a game.guigui wrote:What about DDP resurrection on Android ?

The DDP Daifukkatsu smartphone port dubs over the original announcer (at least in the NA release)

This game will no longer be playable after 3/31/15. The servers will be shut down. Those who have the game will get an in game alert upon start up.

Thank god. That's a surprisingly short life-time though heh.

Re: Mushihimesama Duel(?) announced (iOS/Android)
First DonPaccin!, now Bug Princess Duel. Cave has other online games on their shoulders, but these events mean they should stop making online F2P shmups games and make offline games for iOS/Android(please, no G-Gee bullcrap
) or continue to make phone ports of their games.
Now, how much will Mahou Otome last before getting shutted down? Too soon, I know.
EDIT: my phone is so weak that the app crashes without doing anything about it, other than playing with terrible FPS. Just to mention it.

Yay, I'll finally stop playing this shitty game.
What exactly is the motivation for closing a game server in general ? Money ?

I feel bad for the poor saps who actually spent money on this game.
Then again they got what they deserved for supporting this abusive skinner box revenue model.

They crammed in lifebars, "check-in" bonuses, pay to win mechanics... It's like all the worst possible things in a game. I feel bad that Cave is in such dire financial straits that they have to resort to essentially whoring off one of their most polished franchises.

Why they just don't get absorbed by 5pb or M2, if they are in a such hapless position.BareKnuckleRoo wrote:They crammed in lifebars, "check-in" bonuses, pay to win mechanics... Although, they would lose all of their spared freedom over the games and the franchises, with the latter recevening a whore status or fall in the garbage bin (both very dire fates).

Not sure if you know about this already, but Mushihimesama Duel is in no way developed by CAVE. They only gave the rights for the characters & game for some korean company who then developed this monstrosity.S_Fang wrote:Why they just don't get absorbed by 5pb or M2, if they are in a such hapless position.BareKnuckleRoo wrote:They crammed in lifebars, "check-in" bonuses, pay to win mechanics... The korean company didn't request a great deal of money, if CAVE chose them to make a game about their popular franchise Mushihimesama, did they?Cagar wrote:Not sure if you know about this already, but Mushihimesama Duel is in no way developed by CAVE.
