Hi,I am new here.
First of all,I am a shmup maniac.I worked in Shanghai,the city of China,as a senior software-testing engineer.
At the beginning of this year,I cleared the Galuda II.
I cleared other games before,Such as Darius Burst AC (all original route clear),Gradius Gaiden (2 loop clear)
Actually,in the variety of shmups, the type of Horizontal scrolling is my favourite, such as Gradius series,Darius series and so on.
I also like other type of shmups.
As the new member DKA_Darius said.Except the Touhou peoject. Shmups are nearly died in our country.
My English is not so good, but I'll make great efforts to improve my English. I want to communicate with abroad people about shmups. I hope I can make a lot of new friends here.
Thanks.

What's with the sudden influx of Chinese players anyways? Oh well, no matter, we welcome you with open arms and await patiently for you to populate our scoreboards!
Some replays might be nice too...
Cheers to all of you, and may shooting go on forever!~

Re: Hi,I am new here.
Hi all, I have managed to finally find some time to join some more forums that I have had my eye on for a while.,I could not see a `Welcome thread` so I have added my welcome to this one.
My name is Steve and I am a multi-format retro game enthusiast from the West Midlands area of the UK,I am a member of around nineteen retro gaming forums (various aliases) and currently listen to around just as many retro gaming podcasts .I own a small collection of retro consoles and computers but are not big on materialism preferring emulation, having said that I do share my one bedroom flat with seven arcade machines.I enjoy many game genres but towards the top are Shmups, maze chasers and scrolling beaters.
Being from a low income background my gaming route started slowly at first but may be familiar to a few in the UK which goes something like this: hand held/magnet/led/lcd-tabletop,Atari 2600,ZX Spectrum,Master System,Megadrive,Snes,Amiga mixed with arcade gaming but I did pick up other systems later while visiting car boots and markets in the 90`s like pc engine,NES,3DO then I moved onto 32 bit.Along with arcade games my first two systems have a place firmly in my heart (2600,ZX) and I am a veteran of the Speccy Vs C64 Vs CPC playground wars at school
.
Being a member of so many forums and with life in general getting in the way I visit forums when I can but it should be more than once a month lol,I look forward to joining in with some of your past and current topics.
Thanks Steve

Hello

Re: Hi,I am new here.
Welcome! There actually is an introductions thread in the Shmups Chat subforum but I don't blame you for missing it since it's currently three pages back in the thread list. (any reason why it's not stickied?)
Re: Hi,I am new here.
Welcome guys
Impressive clears! As mentioned above any video clips of your runs are appreciated. Always interesting to see how others tackle the games

A recently started tourney has gotten many of our inactive old players to come back, that's whySapphireDensetsu wrote:What's with the sudden influx of Chinese players anyways?
