Another game to remain in plastic for possibly ever. 8)

Was without good headphones for over a year and violent metal never sounded better. More comfortable than they looked. Would spring for the 325s some other year.

Wasn't sure about this book for some reason, but hot damn. Hours of staring time ahead.

And pounds of more dates. Sometimes happiness is stuff.

Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Pix aren't really necessary for this but I consider it an awesome find - I found a bundle of 5 Genesis games still in their boxes with the tabs attached for $10 today. The games aren't any special find, but I can swap out McShitty Box for pristine ones when I find a great game in bad condition.

Received my briarwood balltop from Sanwa yesterday. Not really sure where to use it. Doesn't feel entirely right on a NAC. Also a little disappointed with the finish. It's too dark (and dull) for my taste but a cool little gadget nonetheless :)

2 Hori Fighting Commander 4's dropped at my place yesterday.

Image

I got these mainly for USF4 and GGXRD, and for the other fighting games I have for my PS3, as the standard Playstation d-pad shreds my thumbs when trying to do any sort of rolling motion, and I never liked the 4 face button/2 shoulder button arrangement, even back in the SNES days I would buy the Genesis version of the game because I preferred the 6 button controller Sega made.

Anyways, quick review... the manual is entirely in japanese so I'm not sure what some buttons do, but the D-pad is excellent (not sure why you'd want to rotate it) and the option to remap your L2/R2 buttons to the R1/R2 positions is brilliant. I also thought the assymetric body would be weird but it's totally natural. The only thing is that it's clearly designed for the PS4, and while it works on PS3, the PS button doesn't... so if you want to exit a game or something, you have to reach over to your standard Dualshock 3 and push the PS button on that. Minor detail but considering how well thought out the controller is otherwise... it's a glaring oversight.

Swedish DVD of The Wind Rises was bought at the con here in town last weekend 'cause I collect Swedish DVD releases of Ghibli movies, and Bayonetta 2SE landed in the mailbox today, bought off a guy on a Swedish gaming forum.

The perceptive reader would know I never posted a picture of me getting a Wii U, and that's 'cause I don't have one yet, planning on getting one after Christmas. Got the game in advance 'cause it let me get it for cheaper and it took 8 days between me posting the WTB topic and actually getting the game from the seller who contacted me, and if I had the system I naturally wouldn't have wanted to wait 8 days before getting a game for it but now I could save some moneys. And Bayonetta 2 is the Wii U game I've been the most hype for, so that's nice.
My 1CCs so I can find the list easier myself

Nothing special, but I am surprised to find that War Gods is like a strange Mortal Kombat spinoff by Midway with similar music, visuals, & thematic elements. I'm pretty sure I remember it being frowned upon at release, but I just collect these for nostalgic value.

Xmas morning in Japan! The best gift I got was from a 70-year old woman (mom) with a note attached:
I hear japanese people read a lot of comic books on the train, and I didn't want you to feel left out. I found this transformers book at Barnes & Nobel.

**sniff** thanks mom. <3
