You playing PSP or arcade? They're very different experiences.Enji wrote: Darius Burst......ehhhh......It's presentation is amazing, but the gameplay is nowhere near as good to me.
It also doesn't help that there's practically no penalty for dying.
Dariusburst is a beautiful thing. Manipulating the burst cannon is where gameplay comes to the fore, because you wield it for defense, attack and scoring simultaneously.
It's definitely the easiest of the series, but there's still enough challenge in its arcade routes to keep you ploughing on for some time (PSP's stripped back everything is admittedly a bit too easy on the whole).
The penalty for dying is simply losing your shield. You're almost guaranteed to be knocked out of the game after that unless you have every boss pattern down. It continues the trend of trying to clear the game on a single life.
In the end, it's the cinematic nature of Burst's Taikan power that seals the deal. There's nothing quite as immense in the STG spectrum. I love it, can't get enough.
