Tiers never matter nearly as much as people act like they do, and because of SF4's designed homogeneity they mean even less. Everyone except the absolute trash characters is competitive. Also immediately after an update hits is the perfect time for silly looking top 8's.

Bah, Fuudo against Snake Eyes was better than all of those put together. Best SF4 match I've ever seen, full stop.

Considering the amount of Capcom fellating that happened previously in this thread, I wouldn't be surprised if this was considered "Just another small thing that will be patched, it's fine guise stop hating!"

I can't believe the last great AE 2012 tournament was bumped out of existence for this.

It's not a glitch, it's a feature!

I wish they would add a real glitch like Guile's handcuffs.

It is just another small thing that will be patched, and you live in a completely delusional state if you disagree.
I guess you already kind of did, though. I'm not saying this in offensive manner, but you literally don't have the slightest idea of how big ridicules you're expecting from the developers, and neither does anyone else with the same attitude as you.

Someone needs to look up what the word 'feature' really means. You'd be surprised!

Your standards are comically low. Plenty of other companies have done the "Release now and patch later" thing and gotten tons of shit for it from here and elsewhere. And this isn't even the first time Capcom has done this (Remember the first version of Arcade Edition?) Why does Capcom get a free pass? Your fanboyism is so blatant it's ridiculous. And keep in mind this is just one on a list of bugs which is rapidly growing.

Your standards are comically high, so high that I can't think of one game that could pass them. (note: as or more complex than street fighter)

Everyone who releases a game that essentially REQUIRES testing from the players themselves will get a free pass. Street Fighter IV is way past that line.

I have nothing to do with fanboyism, but it's never fun to see a company get attacked by badly informed kids or people who refuse to think just because they have a high will to complain for the sake of it.

Come on, there's obviously something seriously wrong with that codebase if this bug is for real. Seriously what the fuck.

As poison was one of the imported characters (from a game with just slightly modified engine), the reason for the glitch happening can be really simple. I'm not sure if SFxT has this, but it could be related to the few transition frames when you switch between standing and crouching, where the character is stated as standing AND crouching at the same time. Maybe poison's lower hitboxes just overlap with his other hitboxes or maybe even ground (?) in some weird way that causes the hitboxes to get misplaced or deactivated for a moment.

And you don't think that's something they should have tested? Seriously, if you're importing something like that, doesn't it make sense to turn on the visible hitbox switch (which I'm sure they have... if they don't, then they've got huge problems...) and make sure the hitboxes are all correct? My understanding is this isn't even some frame perfect trick, this is quite a significant amount of time where the hitboxes are inactive.

This type of glitch is very classic with the series, in Third Strike you have Q being unthrowable while crouching/uncrouching, and Akuma unthrowable while doing his f+mp overhead (that one might have been intended but it was removed from the PS2 port, later on it was left alone), the problem is the glitches are increasing in number and severity, I would never expect to see someone randomly invincible to everything for a ton of frames as a "tiny glitch" that "slipped in".

Ok, I just tried to do that glitch in training mode, and I could pull it off just a few times with cr. light kick of Ryu.
Couldn't do it with heavy kick (used in the video) at all, it indeed is pretty accurate and requires good timing. Maybe it's literally those few transition frames when the lower hitboxes are messed up, no wonder that it took so long to find out

Yes. Many people called him out on his stupid comics and he backpedaled, calling it a "joke".

Saying "this thing exists, this thing sucks" with no discernible sense of irony, or wit is not how jokes work.

But then again, he's a grown-man who plays pokemon, so....

I'm 21 and I don't play Pokemon, but they're fun games and I can see how people of various age groups could enjoy them.

As silly as that glitch is, it really shouldn't be a big deal if it gets patched soon enough. To be honest, I haven't really enjoyed any of Capcoms recent games lately, fighters or otherwise (have yet to try Dragon's Dogma though, which a lot of my friends have liked, so maybe I'll give that a shot when I have time), so I do feel the temptation to mock them. But that would be immature of me. Their not bad games, I just didn't enjoy them, so I don't see much reason to come down on them too harshly for a glitch that probably won't be an issue in the long run.

What competitive team did you use in Pokémon, Dr? I assume, since you are talking the smack, that you have fully EV/IV/Nature bred/trained a team and spent some time in the fairly challenging competitive scene. I'm sure you used a Garchomp, but did you run sash? Orb? Leftovers? 255 str/sp or a mixed set? Did you play Smogon or official rules? Have you ever had to outpredict a Klefki lock? Do you even know what the best move in the game is?

Or was this just a "lol kids games, shmups r EZ cuz credits" sort of comment?
