Had fun watching the streams last year, let's see how this one goes.

So they're using SF3 OE for the tournament? What a compliment to Iron Galaxy.
Re: Forget World Cup, here comes EVO 2014!
I had a journalistic exclusive earlier this year that I'm interested to see succeed. I'll be watching Team ID to see if they can make good on their bold prediction. All power to you boys!

KoF is a blast to watch. I'm awful at Street Fighter and don't seem to "get it" but I can watch that as i respect the game enough.
Blazblue will be interesting.
And let's get hype for Smash Bros Melee! something I actually compete in

I'm surprised that Tekken Tag 2 has the least amount of entrants. I know the series has been declining in popularity, but I figured it would at least beat out crap like Injustice.
I'll have the stream running all day, but I'm mainly looking forward to SF4, KOF13, SF2, and maybe BlazBlue. There should be a ton of great matches coming out of there.

Yeah, what kind of twisted world is this that Tekken is getting more entrants than Power Stone with Batman?iconoclast wrote:I'm surprised that Tekken Tag 2 has the least amount of entrants. I hate staying home on Friday and Saturday, but Sunday, I'm clearing my schedule; my eyes will be fuckin' glued to those finals.
It so is. Seasons Beatings 2012, right after KoF XIII dropped was the hypest shit ever.Blinge wrote:KoF is a blast to watch

Re: Forget World Cup, here comes EVO 2014!
Keiji Inafune pushed for western games, like DmC, Resi 4 5 & 6, and Lost Planet. These games were met with a mixed reception. The people who hated them, accusing them of "betraying the series roots", conveniently omit Inafunes large part (executive producer) in these projects, out of personal bias, and crucify Capcom.Udderdude wrote:I hope Ultra has a gamebreaking bug in grand finals. Keiji Inafune demanded an unreasonable increase in salary, threatening to cease production on the MegaMan projects he was spearheading. He essential held your precious Legends ransom, since he's such a swell guy, who loves his fans. Capcom could not satisfy Inafune's demands, and he abandoned his development team with no prior notice, to found Comcept Inc. (and produce Yaiba Ninja Gaiden, another game everyone hates). With the role of leadership now vacant, the development team, essentially fell apart, leading to the cancellation of the MegaMan games. People convieniently omit Inafune's role in the cancellations, out of personal bias, and crucify Capcom.
I, personally, am very excited for Evo, and intend on picking Ultra up soon.
Mighty No, 9, on the other hand is just MegaMan. Again.

Can't wait for evo, it is always such a hype event. The personalities are what makes it so epic.

Re: Forget World Cup, here comes EVO 2014!
Technically it would be possible for Capcom to release the best SF3TSOE matches on PSN, like they did with their tournament packs, right?
Re: Forget World Cup, here comes EVO 2014!
What the fuck are you even going on about? The reason Capcom deserves the shaft for Ultra is because it's a rushed, buggy, imbalanced cash grab with almost entirely recycled assets from SFxT. And Japan had it months before anyone else, guaranteeing they're going to sweep EVO this year, so you might as well forget the hype already.Doctor Butler wrote:blah blah Keiji Inafune blah blah DmC blah blah MegamanUdderdude wrote:I hope Ultra has a gamebreaking bug in grand finals. Wow, Melee is in it? Not exactly a traditional fight game, but cool!

cj_iwakura is playing Blazblue on EVO, right? Will watch a few matches, hopefully I can catch him on stream.

Friendly reminder. Increases hype just nicely

Re: Forget World Cup, here comes EVO 2014!
SF4 has been pretty wild so far. Pretty much everybody who's anybody is in the tournament, so guys you would expect to place highly are getting knocked out early (eg. Daigo, Infiltration, Tokido, PR Rog).
Koji KOG vs. Sakonoko is up right now, two of my favorite players. I dunno who to root for.
