Salamander is terribly cheap on how it kills you. I got upset

I have the PC Engine versions too, just haven't got around to playing them yet. I've heard those are the best versions of Gradius 1 & 2.Pretas wrote:I prefer the PCE-CD version of Gradius II to the PCB. It features an entire new stage, the default difficulty setting is a bit more reasonable, and it's essentially arcade perfect in all other respects.
Mentality?? - I'm nuts. Everyone is sure of that.Do you ever take a break and play something other than Pork for a while? or another genre? I'm curious about the mentality of players at your level =]
Unreal is not enough. It'll have to get Surreal before I can create the conditions for a Manpuku 2-ALLThis is getting unreal.
Haha, that stage 5.DEL wrote:Muchi Muchi Pork Manpuku Mode ST2-5 - 252,850,570

Big Thanks to pestro87!
Yes you are spot on, I can't stall it, there are really no gaps to allow that, but it would only eat 1 life after that ST2-5 MidBoss. The huge problem will be the next MidBoss - the helicopter. I won't be able to do the lasting-out technique on it, so will need to kill it immediately, which will unleash Merry Hell - probably at least 7 mid sized enemies spewing exploding mines/tight bullet spreads/popcorns, the whole schmeer. I'd be lucky to only lose 1 further life on this no bomb fragment section.Haha, that stage (2)-5.
Would be fab to see you clear it, but that looks like a tall order - that section after the midboss is lacking any bomb fragments and would probably eat many lives. Is it possible to stall the midboss until that section ends, similar to in stage 4?

Instead I am stuck in the America's where women rule with an iron crotch, and a man could get arrested for sitting behind a computer too long.
Seriously impressive stuff, especially stage 2

Rob literally destroyed through that tank section easily: excellent control on hoarding bullets, destroying necessary enemies ships/tanks/turrents, and timing on gold collecting. I probably going to give this game another go this week.LordHypnos wrote:These should probably be added to the youtube thread

Yeah it's pretty insane. It looks like he's not even paying attention to the bullets, the way he moves, and yet none of them are hitting him. Also chaining stage 2 is basically impossible, and I had assumed, til now, that chaining through to a boss battle was also impossible. Damn, son. Not to mention those experience counts per levelbeatsgo wrote: Rob literally destroyed through that tank section easily: excellent control on hoarding bullets, destroying necessary enemies ships/tanks/turrents, and timing on gold collecting. This game looks amazing! Thanks for dropping a run in here.Zaarock wrote:Astebreed hard mode
No problem. I'll upload a proper scoring run once I get a good score on hard (~43 mil) since that replay is just a really scrubby 1ccBlackbird wrote:This game looks amazing! Thanks for dropping a run in here.Zaarock wrote:Astebreed hard mode
