My best recorded score is EDIT now 3432: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KE4iBPxYt7A
If you experience problems with the game dropping input, try changing browsers (I was having problems in Firefox and Chrome performed much more accurately).

Fun game. I only managed 1246 and that one I couldn't feel. It felt like I had to fight a lot harder for some of the many 800-something I got.
It is powerup of laser.

The score is simply 'how many spikes have scrolled off screen'. Sometimes you'll get a freebie where large amounts of spikes are going around you. But I think if one score is over double another the former is definitely better, for example.

Yes, I noticed that. Sometimes you get a stream of large, almost similar length spikes going in the same direction, or two streams coming from opposite directions, which is easy to dodge but boosts the score quickly.
It is powerup of laser.

Lag, even in a well-kept Chrome install with no addons, makes this pretty much unplayable for me. On top of that, lolfingers strike again! Best might be over 1000, certainly have gotten 880.

Flash is really not adequate for this kind of thing.

If you must try playing this, do a quick run with a DPC Latency checker to make sure you aren't getting huge lag spikes (my system shows constant 50-60ms DPC latency, no spikes). Closing all other programs / shutting down excess Chrome or other windows helps.

I'm still trying to break 2k. Got six 1500-1600ish scores today. I think I won't get a REALLY good score until the weekend though - Circadian rhythms are a thing that exist.

My best so far is 1292, 21st place.

This game has moments that just feel awesome. Sadly, they are usually interrupted by some bullshit that seems impossible to dodge.

Edit: 1586. So close to top 10.

By the way - try recording every run you do. If you feel like you died in an impossible to dodge way, review the footage and decide for yourself if it was really the case or not. I think a lot of deaths that feel cheap are actually not reacting fast/right and misreading the situation.

Nice score!

What are you using to record your runs? It may not be possible for me, since I'm, uh.... sorta playing while at work.

Open Broadcaster Software
It makes very small video files, about 20mb/minute for this game/quality, and you won't see a performance hit. If you can play it while work you can record it too, because OBS is very unobtrusive about it.

Got a 2728 on video, but it looked cheap (easy patterns).
Then got a 2703 on video, and it looks more challenging, but... eh.
I am going to wait until 3000+ before uploading again.
I seem to be getting better at this game every day even though I'm getting tireder every day. Good. Maybe I'll crush this game into powder on the weekend~

Feels like luckshit more than anything. The game actually gets much easier after around 1.5k points, and typically anything that kills me after that point was just something impossible. Insane input lag doesn't help either.

Hmm, this one is quite a fun minigame, indeed! Yeah, sometimes the game lets me off, then the next moment, the game likes to play dirty by throwing walls out of nowhere lol. I did notice some sort of lag going on at times. Pretty fun game tough, overall! Nice find, Patashu!

My best so far is 1471 (Under the name PurpleTheGuy). Let's see what I can do.

*Edit* Well, I got to 7th place now! :) Yay, I got into the 2000+ club, with a score of 2009! (I got a picture of it, even, if you like me to put it up!)

@PurpleTheGuy and Zil: Have you tried changing browsers, closing other programs, etc? I had an awful experience with lag when I tried playing it in Firefox, but it's perfect in Chrome even when recording.

Btw, I've noticed that the game throws walls in 'waves'. As in, it has an X gap position and a Y gap position, and those gaps are slowly bobbing up and down along their axis, and when it throws a wall of spikes, it's randomly centered around the current gap for that axis. Why this is useful to know? It reduces mental load - if the gap on one axis is proceeding in a direction, it's almost certainly going to keep going in that direction, wait at the edge a moment, reverse, etc. so you can expect this to happen, be right most of the time and you conserve attention energy by only needing to look for discrepancies.

I haven't done that yet. I did get a slight bit of lag, but it wasn't too serious on my part (Yeah, I played this on firefox), to where the game would, indeed, become unplayable. I may try to do that later on, though, since you brought that point up.

Yeah, I sort of noticed something with the wall waves a bit. That is a rather interesting tidbit.

That's why I said it gets easier later on. Since the giant walls are basically appearing constantly, you can always clearly see where the gaps are how they're moving, as opposed to the early game which can seem like a random mess, and if walls haven't spawned from a given side for long enough, you have no idea where the gap will be when one finally does appear.

e: whoops, just got 2908 in one try. :p

This score is so good. I nearly died so many times and the patterns were so tight.
Your move, Zil~

If YGS2000 would be considered on-topic ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gz_71veAzzU ), this would be considered on-topic too.
