So I have Ketsui Extra in 4:3 as well, even though the original arcade game is 5:4 ratio.
so should i set shmupmame PGM driver to 5:4 for all games ?.............
also how about the Pixel Ratio ?
chat soon
I'm referring to outputting the 360 to my arcade monitor. If you're playing this in MAME, you should let MAME sort it out to 4:3, as that's the intended output, only with an arcade monitor you have to re-size many systems as their output differs.
No, Ketsui is 4:3. But you can use a general 5:4 ratio in tate to counter the high pixel ratio (due the CPS2 resolution of 384x224).
If you run MAME with a proper shader (HLSL for example) you don't have to worry about that. You can get perfectly fine 4:3 from this and any other CPS1/2 game.
Really comes down to your settings. Use whatever brings you to a proper visible 4:3 ratio in the end.
