We don't know for sure yet. Like the first one is gonna be said before release. Wait and see, and is gonna include something cool to rape everyone, Cave knows how to do that..
well, I sure would be one of the rape victims if Cave included a physical retail copy of Guwange
but that's not going to happen so my virginity can rest in peace
I missed the first one but this time around I am not gonna miss the chance I want to complete and recomplete my Xbox360 Cave Collection :D

As far as I know, all of the games included are the same discs that they were released on separately. So Futari, ESPGaluda II, MMP/PS and SDOJ would be region free, and nothing else.

Is not even out yet and you know it already??? They'll probably using the same discs but not with all the games, remember 7 disc for the 12 games, dunno how many discs were included in the first collection though.

I would put it at 95% odds that the game disc portion of this package will be identical to the original Shooting Collection, except with SDOJ added in, and potentially minus the DLC disc (depending on whether that's actually being omitted or is just missing from the product description).

The only reference to "7 discs" that I can find in the Amazon description is referring specifically to the 7 Superplay DVDs, so I'm not sure where the "12 games on 7 discs" thing is coming from. Absolutely no offense intended at all to Rancor if I'm just missing it somewhere, though.

All I'm trying to say is that while there might be an outside chance that somehow all of these discs are new presses and are suddenly 100% region-free from top to bottom, I think it may be a bit too optimistic to hope for that. Let's keep our expectations in check.

Sourcing it from this blog post, it's 11 games and the 7 superplay DVDs:

Wow. You're right. I don't know where I got that from. It's most likely going to be 12 games on 11 discs with MMP / PS on one. Although didn't they do a re-issue with DFK 1.5 and BL on a single disc? So maybe that one is included. Apologies.

They did do a "combined" re-issue, but I'm pretty sure it was just the two standalone games packaged together on separate discs (someone correct me if I'm off).

I assume that you are referring to the double-pack? It has two separate discs in one DVD case.

Cave Co. Ltd Milk
~ The Finest in Dairy Since 1994 ~

Here at the Cave farm we only produce the finest Milk possible. Using pioneering pasteurising techniques for a creamier, fuller bodied Milk, we've managed to sustain our company without producing anything new for several years. After building a dedicated community of Milk drinkers, and seeing what the value our product would fetch in the aftermarket, we decided to give Cave Milk lovers everywhere exactly what they wanted, reprinting our scarcely available posters and artwork in abundance. When we released our Limited Edition Cave Milk, well, the community just lapped it up, even at the grand sum of $1500 USD. Although we had intentions of allowing this to remain exclusive to those willing patrons already bled dry, we also felt a responsibility to Milk drinkers the world over, so released the same Limited Edition Milk in a simpler format for a mere fraction of the price in abundant quantities within a year.

When we released our Limited Edition Milk Budget Collection, reusing left over Milk bottles and labels from our warehouse, it was besieged by our loyal community despite its tacky, low cost packaging. Consciously, we did leave our most recent Milk release out of the box, so only a year later, we could release a slightly newer Milk Budget Collection featuring its inclusion.

This is what makes Cave Co. Dairy survive. So remember, just when you think you've seen it all before; just when you think you've bought it already eight times over: We Milk, You Drink.

Image

Cave Co. Ltd Milk Dairy & Pasteurising is not responsible for consumer satisfaction. We do not suggest at any point that we will undermine your unwavering allegiance and existing Milk collection as we see fit, but if you really haven't learned by now that we're milking you so we have something to pay the employees severance, you're daft.

I can't read japanese so I used the info Rancor told a few posts ago.
In any case you are right as they will reusing old discs and I since this is the ultimate ultimate, till a new game or an Ultimate Collection for Ps3, as Skykid says all over again they need to milk people so the DLC has to be there and it has probably been ommited since they're probably using just a propagande that Cave might have given them, and like I said before the full content as off now is unknown till Cave officially anounces it.

As for you skykid, they can milk us everytime they want, but I'd rather prefere that than seeing them out of bussines cause right now they can make more shooters. Just my thoughts

NOW you're using your head. Ibara Kuro is coming to disc: it's just a matter of time.

They ain't making more shooters. They've done enough. Let them go. I love Cave for the great games they made, for the golden era when they reignited the arcade scene for me, like a surprise encore for a most beloved gaming pastime.

But these days they're on crutches and horribly boring. They don't make anything new, they make endless mistakes, and they have no scruples about completely abusing the allegiance they fostered amongst gamers.

Time to die, lost in time like tears in rain.

RIP, and no more milking.

An Ibara Kuro HD port is one of my hottest dreams you know but since Xbox 360 is dead in Japan and Asada is gone I don't see it happen.
And come on dude, the world needs another Ketsui with a Yagawa BL mode.

Don't hold your breath.

Kuro will come out, probably in another collection at some point. Remember, even if Cave dissolves they're likely to sell or licence the rights to third party publishers to produce ports or collections for newer consoles. In the meantime you can blow close to £300 trying to get the current Cave collection to your door, which will be rendered inferior and obsolete sooner than you can say "What, already?!"

I would consider getting this just to have all of the Cave games at last, but I already have at least 1/3rd of the collection individually and if it's true about the DLC disc not being in it then that's also a negative for me as I'd like to be able to play Mushihimesama's fancy blue version.

Cagar wrote:I can't get over the fact that some people here are actually upset about CAVE offering their collection again. What's the big deal? What part of it is a fraud or swindling? They're selling their game collection again (with a new game in it) for fuck's sake, no-one is forced to buy it and there's no fraud, cheating, any bad business involved in it.
Is it just so, that some people here are so keen to CAVE that they have hard time resisting to buy it, and they are mad because CAVE is teasing them again?
It seems like some sort of hysterical behavior :?
This was not even aimed at you, but just in case you skipped it.

If they're not making new games and have reasons for it, why is it so wrong to sell their spare stock? They're not "milking".
This is also not comparable to CAPCOM at all; they offer new content by recycling some old assets, CAVE is just selling old content packaged to a collection.
Here's how I think it went:
-Let's sell our shmups as a collection
-Damn it sold surprisingly well
-Hmm.. let's continue selling it, but we have these SDOJs left so add them to it too
-People whine about them doing a 'mistake'

Dude, what if this is their attempt to get money for a new shmup? They stated in last year's CAVE matsuri, that they won't stop making STGs, abd that their next title will be for mobile (and it was: donpaccin).

Use your thinking next time: if 'milking' gives them money to make new content, what's wrong with it then? You're not forced to buy their 'milking' products, so quit complaining. :?

Here's what you could do:
-Tell your friends (preferably interested in shmups) to buy this amazing video-game collection with entertainment for a long, long time
Here's what you're doing:
-Complaining about CAVE selling an amazing video-game collection

Sorry for grammar errors

Cagar have a brain man. Your assessment of the business for business is spot on, they're trying to make money. No harm in that.

Their scruples as a company? Completely questionable. This is no new trend. Cave are excruciatingly smart at releasing items that appear to have some exclusivity to prey upon the fastidiousness of their loyal fanbase. They're utterly shrewd at making something appear unique and one-off, only to (very quickly) diminish its value by making it obsolete or widely available in no time at all.

Don't believe it's innocent. I didn't buy the budget collection first time around and I won't be buying this one because I bought all their games first time around.

But those poor saps who bought an incomplete 'ultimate' collection for a vast sum only to find its now been relegated to the box no-one really wants?

Well, that's Cave style business.

???
Why are you blaming Cave again, and for what exactly? They're just selling their collection for the second time, because they still have games left, and the first collection sold well.
It's as simple as that. I have no damn clue how someone has the will or time to jump to awkward conclusions about them doing bad business by doing this. (or like you said it, "Cave style business")
How people value their games and collections is completely subjective, so why are you bringing it up?
Surely, only thinking about the perfectionist collectors, is not very rational viewpoint to rate Cave's business decisions. You know that, right?

Also, I'd like to add that SDOJ was not even released when the collection released for the first time, and it's the only added thing in this collection.
