Storyline Question: DDP:DOJ

I bought DDP:DOJ last month for the PS2 and I'm wondering what the sotryline is for it. More sepcifically, how the "Dolls" fit into it.

If I recall correctly, wasn't DDP about you being a test pilot going against your own forces? Maybe I'm thinking of something else?

IIRC DOJ has something to do with machines rebelling against the human race or something like that...I think the first 2 DP games were, as you say, at first presented as fights against some enemy/alien force or other, but turned out to be against your own comrades (if you made it to the second loop).

Not like the story is much worth paying attention to in any of these, heh heh.

The end of DDP's story is some crazy shit about your superior (probably one of the former Donpachi elite force?) sparking a war that kills most of the world's population. I assume DDP2 expands on this.

The DOJ endings from the Arika superplay, from what I can gather from the images (Exy I'm sure of as I've gotten someone to translate the text along with the ending):

Exy: Exy kills you and your copilots after Hibachi is defeated
Leinyan: I don't know exactly what is going on but I'm guessing she sacrifices herself to save you
Shotia: Shotia starts to feel emotion after Hibachi is defeated (dunno if it is this exactly)
