Looking for Super Play of Raiden III (single play)...

Post by dave4shmups »

The double-play videos are great, but I'd really like to see a 1cc of Raiden III done with a single ship. I can't find any, though.

PS2 would unlock superplay demos for the individual stages as you beat them, I believe you had to beat the stage on your first credit.... Sorry I don't remember

*scratches head* I know that I've seen at least full replays of all of the stages before the Double-Play was put up on the Super Play site, but I can't remember where.

They're the real thing.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Speaking of which, what the heck does "tool assisted" mean? I've seen some NES speed runs that say that they are tool assisted.

Tool assisted means slow-mo, frame advance, savestates, etc. were used.

Tool-assisted runs are mostly for entertainment reasons and not to display skill as those super-play files are. Tool-assited also means you`re going to see some wacky shit. Tool-assisted superplays of shmups would just make no sense at all, since everyone could do a 1cc with savestating every second.
