Thoughts about Game Paradise/Game Tengoku?

Post by maxlords »

I just recently bought the PCB of this game on impulse...saw a good deal on it. Anyone have any thoughts about it? I can't find any reviews anywhere, but it looks like a neat modern shmup in the Parodius vein. Also...anyone have a clue what the working PCB is worth? :D

Lucky you, I've never seen the PCB for sale ever. As usual, I haven't looked very hard though.

I can only comment on the Saturn version. It took me a long long time to figure out how to chain the eggplants..

My only complaint is that some large enemies seem to be able to take a lot of damage. Otherwise, the visuals are great, music is criminally catchy, and the difficulty picks up nicely.

Here is a thread from a few months ago about the game, though mostly the Saturn version, if you're interested...

It's great and quite fun to play. :) The later stages become more and more Psikyo like. :o

I recalls seeing it being sold at yahoo.jp for around 6,000 to 8,000 yen a few months ago. It's a double decks board. Since I am running out of spaces and it would costs $$$ in shipping. So I pass and get a Saturn port for around 5,000 yen instead. :o

It's always good to have the PCB, but storage spaces are just not enough. :(

Thanks for all the info guys! I'm dying to get this one (seller ships it out tomorrow!). Sounds like I won't regret it and I paid a fair price! :D
