Nice.
I used to have that particular issue of Super Gaming. Shame it got lost many years ago.

1941 Sadness

Man, I want that game so bad. I saw it once in Japan, used for about 100 USD; all I could do was touch the glass and wish...

I never really longed for 1941 on SuperGrafx, although I would've liked to have seen what it was alike in 1991-1992. I didn't get to play it until emulation in 2000 or so.

You must've had quite the computer and support.
I only think Supergrafix was recently supported in emulation, that and Magic Engine is a beast. Unless you know of...another

MAME plays the arcade CPS version of 1941 but not SuperGrafx or other consoles.

no not really. I had a Pentium III 450 MHz, 256 MB RAM and a TNT2 with 32 MB. not exactly a highend PC in 2000. SuperGrafx was supported back in 2000 in Magic Engine, IIRC. or maybe not until 2001, but it wasnt a recent addition to Magic Engine.

When I first started using Magic Engine back around 2000, it already had SuperGrafx support.

Hmm, well for whatever reason Magic Engine runs quite slow on my computer (P31000,512SD,64GF2,etc), but at least MAME version is well ran.
As far as SGX support I suppose I didn't do enough research, it seems from as far back as December 99 SGX was supported, yet I find articles of the authors talking about wanting to impliment SGX from around 01. No sweat either way, it's a fine game.

yeah it MUST have been 2000 when I played SuperGrafx emulation in Magic Engine. that was the year I really got into emulation....one of the first things I wanted to try was all the SuperGrafx games. The only SG game I had played on the real machine was Daimakaimura ~ Ghouls N Ghosts.

FYI, 1941 is in pretty good form in Capcom Classics Collection Remixed for PSP. As good as it can be on PSP, anyway. Usual PSP screen blur and control issues take away a bit. Perfect otherwise.

EGM had a couple of very short previews of SuperGrafx 1941 from when it was shown at the Tokyo Toy Show. maybe I will get some snaps of those and post them later. the pics were VERY good looking, probably the best looking of any of the SuperGrafx games. 1941 was the final SG game anyway, IIRC.

here's one, from the letters section
