X-Prize for DNA decoding

Post by mice »

Just saw this, but it's from january.

I've been thinking a lot about DNA lately, and different ways to tackle the issue.
Then it struck me, what if it's actually packed with some algoritm?
I mean 3 gigs of pairs just seems too small to create anything, especially a human.
So I did some testing and I found it to be ZIP-7 packed...or maybe not...

That's kinda scary that Human DNA could be converted and downloaded into a file.
Shmups: It's all about blowing stuff up!
