Emerson EWF2004 Service Mode

Hi All,

I have an Emerson EWF2004 CRT with the original remote. The screen has recently gone out of whack and it appears I need a service remote to adjust the Horizontal and Vertical. After some digging, I found the service manual online and it says I need to jump J1 on the board in order to convert it.

I am extremely new to this kind of thing. There already seems to be some kind of wire at the J1 spot seen vertically at the bottom left of the board perpendicular to the J2 spot.

What exactly am I supposed to do here? I really appreciate any help you can offer.

Desolder the jumper from J1 and move it to J2 on the remote PCB to change it to factory mode.

It can be seen that the two jumpers have a common point. You could install a small spdt switch to change modes easily.
