NG-DEV's "Fast Striker EX" stg out on Switch finally.....

Post by PC Engine Fan X! »

Was browsing on the USA region Nintendo Switch eShop portal and came across NG-Dev's famed Fast Striker stg renamed as "Fast Striker EX" for the Switch out today, 6-26-2025. This is the same FS stg that was released on the Neo-Geo MVS back in 2010 and runs silky-smooth with an "arcade-spec" 60fps framerate as usual. Screen re-sizing, scanline filter option, customisable button remapping and even HD rumble effects are standard from the get-go -- how cool is that?

FS-EX is a mere 141mb d/l (same size allotted as with the Switch port of "Razion EX" sized at 141mb as well) at best and has a MSRP of $14.95 usd that is quite reasonable on the wallet/purse indeed. No on-board on-line leaderboard support whatsoever with this FS-EX Switch port but it does save both your high scores & high score initials for posterity.

It's about damn time that FS-EX appeared on the venerable Switch gaming platform at last -- the wait for it is finally over. Looks and plays awesomely on an OLED Switch setup -- be sure to increase the overall brightness of the Switch's screen if the scanline filter is enabled as it will be dim as a result.

Thanks for the heads up. Bought and played last night just as I was about to go to bed. Now I am tired. I definitely want a physical to go with Razion and Gunvein
