Hey guys so I recently acquired a rather beautiful looking Shibasoku set from Japan. Shipping was done by UPS and was double boxed well by my proxy provider. When it arrived, while it did appear well protected when I opened it I saw that the drawer latch was pushed out and now requires slight maneuvering to get in and out, also the power button which is actually attached to a long shaft thing was detached. I was able to put that back together, but its clearly not as it should be. Now that aside the set came with a very rare 2 pin XLR power out so I removed it and soldered in the more standard 3 prong IEC so I could get power.
So I did get power, but now I am seeing that we have no color. Initially I saw mono was on and that the color killer knob was too, so I then turned both of those off and still no color. I have some pictures here ... I am thinking maybe its something in the color circuit, but what do you folks think? I know SamIam and Andynumbers are familiar with the Shibasoku's so hopefully I could get their input on saving this wonderful set. Honestly besides the color issues it's in wonderful condition, the image seems super stable and sharp so it would be sad not to see this fixed.
Here are some preliminary images, but I plan to provide more clearer images including of the internals which I thought looked good overall;

Quick Summary:
Shibasoku with great raster, but no color. Snes console tested with Component Retrovision cables and RGB Retroaccess cables. Mono and Color Killer modes are off. Other things of note... some of the other knobs seem stiff. Possible drawer damage? Or this could be a color circuit issue. Thoughts?
Thank you all for any help you can offer.

Assuming that it's not your cables, and none of the settings are wrong, then I think it's safe to assume that something has come loose.
I would do a complete disassembly and make sure that there isn't any obvious loose wires or connectors inside. The fact that you see something up with the drawer kind of points to that being the issue. The drawer is going to have cables going to it, and something could have been pinched and broken during shipment.
if it has any other type of input (s-video or composite) then I would start off by trying those to see if anything changes.
