Independent Gamers Video Speical

Independent Gamers Video Special

Download the Video (214mb, 61mins, 320 x 240, 516kbs)
Download NetAnts (Freeware download manager, for slow connections!)

Well what can I say I bet your suprised arn't you? This video took me roughtly two weekends of full on total work to complete and I'm pretty happy with the final result of course it's really your opinion as the viewer that really matters though so please give feedback after watching. :)

Yeah this video covers a whole range of differnt games and platforms and does has some (not loads though) bad language and also some attempts of of me being funny as well! :D

Anyway please enjoy the video and please fo the love of god download the film and don't stream it otherwise it will slow down the connection for everybody else heh. Oh yeah and make sure you use NetAnts to download this is you have a slow connection, I applogise for the size but it was the smallest size I could get the film on ANY video format that I had the codecs for and yes that includes DivX.

p.s: There are some shmups in this video but I was not sure if it would be ok to post in the main forum since there is also non-shmup stuff in this video to so I stick the thread here... is that OK?

great capture, and fun games too watch in action (well.. maybe not WWF 8) but boogiewings was a very welcome surprise).

i dont play CS so i dont really get those inserts either but i guess theyre there for some reason?

the only major drawback i can find (sorry bout this) is your voice, its horribly annoying  for the next vid maybe you shold have text or make your GF talk or something... otherwise an enjoyable vid :)
the destruction of everything, is the beginning of something new. your whole world is on fire, and soon, you'll be too..

Good job! The capturing was super clean and that's my best exposure to Boogie Wings yet!

My advice would be:
-> Less time per game (allthough I enjoyed every little tid-bit of Boogie Wings :D)
-> Different mic setup - the bass-iness of the vocal recording makes your voice sound super nasal. Maybe use a different mic or equalize the vocal track so that it's more balanced. Maybe have somebody else help you with it, as others hear us differently than we hear ourselves.

Cool vid man. It was nice to see G Darius without any slowdown, unlike the PSX version. I've never heard of Boogie Wings, but it looks pretty cool. I enjoyed your review on it. :)

Thanks for the kind words everybody. I'll take all the advice on board although saying that the reason why I spend so much time on each game is because I really want the listener to get the "full picture" if you catch my drift although next time I think I will shorten them down just a tad so I can sqeeze in another review. Not bad for a first atempt though! :D

Oh yeah and next time I won't be using microsoft sound recorder to record my voice but a speicalised microphone software instead so it should sound better... I hope.

I could do subtitles in the next video but that would distract from the gameplay footage so I'm affraid you guys are going to have to put up with my voice lol... sorry! :)
